Does what it says. Pop the old one out and the new one in. Perfect fit, Easy-Peasey. This next may be old news to a lot of you but I discovered a little trick that worked very nicely. The directions tell us to turn the water off before replacing these. Well, my fridge water valve is in the bottom of the back of the sink cabinet behind all the assorted cleaning gear most of us have under there. To access it I have to get down on my 72 year old knees and I don't like that at all! Try doing the replacement with the water running in the sink... That reduced my water pressure in the fridge enough to allow the filter to be set properly with just some minor pressure and without causing my knees to start screaming at me. You might get a couple little drips of water during the switch, but hey - it's water. Read more
