These are hands down the best sock I’ve used over the last ten years. I did purchase 3 boxes so I on,y have to do a single load of washer socks in the washing machine once per month. They’re all well past 2 years and they still work like day one. No loose stitching and wearing very, very well. I had ordered a couple a while back to see if the ppms where truly 100, thats what i use for my sump. And as advertised the truly filter to the point that I change twice a week because they do such a fine job. Since then I've ordered in total i believe 8 and so happy that i finally found the right sump sock. Only minor thing and it's only my on thing is i cut out the inner plastic tab and that's so I can pull inside out for good cleaning. Compared to other socks I have used, these are definitely well made. Material is thick and feels like they are very durable. I expect to get many many uses. These 100 micron socks remove finer particles as compared to the more commonly available 200 micron version. Be prepared for frequent sock changes (1-2 days depending on tank conditions) and keep in mind that is not a disadvantage if your goal is maximizing the potential of filter socks. Handy to have multiple socks in rotation so that they can be machine washed as a group for efficiency. Seller is responsive and also provides excellent customer service. 5-stars all-around. I've tried several different brands of socks over the years and these are the best I've used AND they're made in the good ole U.S.A. I use both the 100 and 200 micron socks in my tanks. I usually run the 200's for every day use but when I really want to polish the water I go to the 100's. The 100's do remove catch a lot of very fine particles so they will stop up pretty quick but man can they clear up your water nicely! These socks are very well made and the material seems to also be of very high quality. You best bet is to order the 8 pack so you're not washing them as often and it saves you a little bit of money. Once they're dirty I turn them inside out and rinse a good portion of the debris away(so it doesn't stink in my storage bucket), let them drain and toss them in a storage bucket until I'm ready to wash them. Then I throw them in my wifes washing machine, set it for a double rinse and do not use soap, only bleach, and once done stand them up to dry and they're ready to go again. Decent socks but very expensive for what they are. Not a great fit for my Marine x 110.4. The socks have to be snapped into the 4" hole. I bought these once and switched to a different, more affordable brand. Have continued buying from that other brand. Read more
