This was my first time buying this brand, as I never heard of it til now, I didn't know what to expect, but upon getting this coat. I found it to do it job which was keeping me warm, as I shoveled snow outside. The zippers felt like they was very good quality, they didn't feel cheap in my hands. A double zipper style was different for me, so i had to get used to pulling the other one down as i pull the main one up to zip it up. Compared to my other coats, this did a much better job at keeping me warm, while not filling heavy. It had all the pockets i ever need and it was best coat I ever wore. Read more

This is a very nice jacket. Well constructed and looks great. Nice flannel-lined inside. Water and rain resistant outer shell. As others have said the front pockets are vertical, not slit so it's kind of inconvenient. Just a minor issue. My main complaint is the jacket is a full size smaller than other jackets I own. The 4xl fits like a 3xl (which is good because I usually wear a 3xl jacket). There is room for me to wear a sweatshirt under it. Just be aware and order a size up. I will say, I got it for $26 on a crazy sale so I'm very happy! 4 stars due to the sizing Read more

Lost in the Crowd—December 7, 2022
The media could not be loaded. This coat was so impressive that I literally took a million pics and had to filter through them and TRY to ONLY pick the high points that I thought you would want to know best to see whether you should buy this product or not. Let me start with saying that the coat itself is absolutely gorgeous. It's unisex even though my son is the one that tried it on for me and help me with the video to show you how it fits. It goes down, halfway to the knees I would say If I had to guesstimate. I looked at all the tags and I did include a photo of how to wash it and how it needs to be treated, I also took photos of many of the pockets and I included a photo of the actual tags and one of them says that this is good for up to -20° f weather. Very impressive! My brother lives in New York and I'd like to take a trip up there but I don't have a coat this warm enough. Now we know where to get one! The outside is water repellent and water resistant which means it's not quite waterproof but it's good enough to keep you cozy on the inside of the jacket with the buffalo plaid design that is so soft but yet the outside does get rid of much of the moisture and not let it sink into the coat. Next thing I noticed was all of the storage space that this coat has! It has at least four pockets on the outside of it and each one of them buttons, they don't just open. May be more pockets than that, I'm not sure if there's one on the inside or not but I didn't see it if it was there. I got a photo of my son with the hood on from the side pulling on the cordage that goes to tighten the top part to show you that it will actually cover the entire top of your head and even down to the eyes if it's really cold. Almost forgot to mention there's a spot on each arm where you can button the sleeves a little tighter at the bottom if you want a more snug fit around the wrist area. I hope you get to watch the video included in this review with my son wearing the coat. I am including his size (as far as height and weight) with this review so that you can see if maybe this is right for you. I personally think it's right for everyone If you go to cold weather areas for vacations, to visit family, etc or live in cold weather maybe having shovel snow, this will get the job done and keep you warm! Plus it's pretty handsome looking on anyone! Read more

I live in MN, I have far to many jackets of all sorts of styles, weights, purposes, and quality. This falls at the bottom of my list. First the good, the canvas material looks really nice and the buffalo plaid inside is nice looking. Enjoy the feel in my hood of the liner, it is soft and warm. The coat itself is nice and warm. Due to canvas nature, it will be water repellent not water proof, heavy rain will likely end up wet. The Jacket is warm, it also has a nice zipper. I have far more expensive coats that have far worse and less functional zippers. I like to see a nice zipper. The fit is nice, I am 5'8" 170lbs in photo and got size large. Fits good. Now the personal preference annoyance. First the 2 lower pockets only open from the top, what am I 5! come on, the only time I see that is on my kids coats when they were toddlers. To not have a side access to the pocket is just annoying, the number of times I reach into my pocket to only realize I am on the side with not access is way to many.... The other annoyance I have, this is common in so many winter jackets, is the nylon sleeves. I personally like to have some warm material in the sleeves, something like fleece, cotton something. I know most manufacturers do not do this, my only reasoning is they do it to prevent sleeves from pulling up. But many of us in the northern climates will wear short sleeves in the winter, and to not have cold nylon on my arms would be great. Now the bad, the first and top button out of the package was broken. The button bottom was stuck to the button leaving me with a metal post at the top most button. Not that I use the top most button often, but broken out of the package is an immediate docking. The buttons in general all feel cheap and poorly assembled. The pockets there are a good number, one inside which I like. The seams on this coat are all poorly done, lot of strings hanging and overlapping that looks cheap. There is also some fraying on some of the stitching, which you dont want before you wear it. The quality of the sewing was sloppy and care was not taken. The button closure on the wrist are another thing that just bothers me. They added a 2nd button for you to tighten which is good, but the button and the fabric had no care taken in placement and how the fabric will fold. It folds weird and is bulky and uncomfortable to do the tighter cuff. For the money, I would not recommend this. I have gotten better quality at local stores, especially at the end of a season sale. If they upgrade the quality on the buttons that would go a long way. Read more
