I tested the lamp quickly, and the light quality is really good. This is the key point for me, more than the energy saving. Saving 15 dollars a year at the cost of having unpleasant lighting defeats the purpose of any investment made. The 15 dollars are nothing compared to the cost of installing the lighting system and the business that needs to be illuminated. Also, no noise or flickering at different dimming levels. You can change the color, and the 1–10 V dimmer can completely turn the light off, so I don’t think a second switch is necessary. I needed to light up a 9-ft (2.75 m tall) shower stall tiled in dark tile that would have looked like a cave. I installed the 200w with a 0-10v dimmer and it has turned out fantastic. Everybody thought I was crazy and be blinded by the light, but it has become a fantastic feature for the bathroom. (I used to do theater lighting. I'm not afraid of using powerful lights!) The light is rated at IP69 (direct high-pressure water washdown), so the electrician and the electrical inspector had no problems with it. At the low power level (~10%) it is like mood lighting.
