I understand why some people didn't tune into this season. It started a bit slow and the introduction of Brandy (Ash's kid) in the first ep was a bit of a WTF moment. Regardless of what you thought of the rest of the season (I enjoyed it), the final couple episodes are worth watching. While we didn't get any sort of closure for Ash Williams, we know he's still out there fighting the good fight and that's about all that we can hope for, it's not like his character was going to have a fairy tale ending. The final episode has some very nice callbacks and a spectacular monologue by Ash which I can't help to think is rooted in reality more than Bruce Campbell will ever admit. In the end it was another 5 hours (total of 15 series-wide) of Ash Williams and that's more than most of us could have ever hoped for, so with that said: so long Ash and thanks for all the memories. Watch in this order: A- "The Evil Dead" [the original], B- "The Evil Dead 2", C- "Army of Darkness", and then D- "Ash vs. Evil Dead" Seasons 1, 2, & 3. The first 3 [A, B, & C] are old movies. This all becomes an 'epic', as opposed to movie(s) and a TV show. They are original, fun, action packed, and everything else that a person could want. I envy anybody that hasn't seen these and gets to watch them in order. I love "The Simpsons", "South Park", "Dexter", "The Walking Dead", "Guardians of the Galaxy- 1", "Deadpool- 1"and "LOTR"; but none compare. [Though, "LOTR" does come close.] The "Evil Dead"- franchise may not have the serious nature of a few that I've mentioned, but its excitement and fun destroy all others. Personally, I liked the first season best but the second season had better writing. Both are 98% or 99% on a scale of 100. I'm going to give this third season a 97%. I read that the comic writer left after the second season. I'm assuming this is why it didn't get a 98% or 99%. But it was fantastic, and there was still a lot of humor. If the film world were an amusement park then 'The Evil Dead franchise' would be the one with all of the best roller coasters and water park. The third season has the 'battle for all of humanity'. This -kind of- handcuffed the story; which forced some restraint. I preferred the wild ride with no restraints [think of season 2's search for 'the book' in the morgue scene] Anyhow, this third season features Ruby creating an alliance with another she-demon, creating her own Ash spawn, Ash was married and had a daughter [both of which he knew nothing about], 'The Dark Ones" are coming to town, there's been a religious cult waiting for Ash [for thousands of years], and all of this gets in the way of the grand opening of "Ashy Slashy's Hardware Store" and "Pableto's Fish & Chips". Nothing in film has ever made me love it so much. Maybe some day there will be a writer and director that can make competition [I hope so] but until then this is: "THE KING, BABY"! And no other directors have ever used enough sugar [with possible exception of Peter Jackson]. Once again: I envy anybody that hasn't seen these and gets to watch them in order. Read more

Great series and yet again a really popular show is axed. What is the matter with these people??? They say the ratings were dropping off but that doesn't mean anything as I always watch shows on DVD or Blu Ray - I never watch them when they are aired, so that proves that low ratings from 'airings' do not mean people are not watching or interested in it!! It really annoys me. Only good thing is that at least it has been released on Blu Ray. Often when a show is axed and you have bought them all on Blu Ray, the last one only gets released on DVD!! That is really annoying too. Anyway, will miss you Ash and thanks for all the joy you have brought us. Read more

Ash is such an awesome character, and its great to see him in his own series. A lot of shows in the horror genre are a big disappointment, but this series is funny, bloody, and action packed. It seems to be getting better with each episode. It is very entertaining and Bruce Campbell is great. Read more

Love this show, I would recommend it for every horror fan! It's got action, it's gory, funny, creepy, all that good stuffl. I'm sad to see Ash go away for good, but he left on a high note and that's all I could ask. Thank you Bruce Campbell, you created an awesome character and have brought me some of the best entertainment I could come across. HAIL TO THE KING! Read more
