This will be my third pair of ATG Utility shorts. They’ve become my gotos for mountain biking and compare well against dedicated MTB shorts that cost two or three times more. The fabric is an effective combo of tough and stretchy. The crotch gusset aids freedom of movement. They offer more storage than most MTB shorts and they’re just form fitting enough to not get hung up when you’re moving around on the bike. I think they’d work well for hiking and trail running, too. I expected a slightly different pants material. Same material as used on the same pants last year. They used too much nylon in the material. The fit is OK. Sometimes improvement works the opposite way. Read more
