I can't decide whether to gift this to my teenage daughter or keep it for myself. The sleeves are long, so long! That is the best part. While not particularly soft, the material is very comfortable and far from itchy. The black is classic and looks great with the buttons. It can be casual or dressy, but if you want a more polished look, I would go down a size because it is slouchy rather than fitted. This is one of those closet staple cardigan sweaters that never really goes out of style. It’s just a very nice, classic looking, button down and is so versatile. You can wear it over a white tee and jeans, over a blouse, skirt or dress and so much more. It’s made of cotton and is soft and non-itchy. The fit is pretty true to size, but maybe a touch oversized, but it had great form and drape. It’s the perfect medium weight layer for chilly days. I ordered this in the wine colour and it’s such a great colour for Autumn, but will look nice all winter and into the Spring. I did wash it on a cold water, delicate, machine cycle, although it suggests hand washing. It came out just fine. To dry it, I laid it flat on a sweater dryer and let it air dry most of the way and then put it on a padded hanger to finish drying and it came out perfect.
