I bought this sweater for my daughter in an XL (5'6 - 195lbs), which is her usual size, and the fit was pretty accurate and maybe even a little oversized. It is a cropped style, but not too short—it hits around the waist/hip area, so it still feels wearable and not overly cropped. The shape is a bit boxy, which works for some outfits but may not be the most flattering on every body type. It's on the heavier and thicker side for a cardigan but not so thick you will be overheated. The material is decent for the price. The yarn isn’t the softest, but it’s not scratchy either—more of a mid-quality acrylic feel. My daughter is really sensitive to irritating or scratchy fabrics and this one didn't seem to bother her. I’m hoping it holds up well through washing, but based on experience with similar sweaters, I would definitely avoid high heat. I’d recommend washing cold and laying flat or air drying, since acrylic knits like this can shrink easily if dried too hot. Style-wise, it’s really cute and easy to throw on with high-waisted jeans or layered over a top for fall. This cardigan ended up being much nicer than I expected. The knit is thick, soft, and warm without feeling heavy or stiff. The “Apricot” color is a true neutral, easy to pair with jeans, leggings, or work outfits. I ordered the XL, and the fit is exactly what I wanted: slightly oversized, comfortable, and flattering without looking sloppy. The buttons are secure, the stitching is clean, and the fabric has a good amount of stretch. It’s the kind of cardigan you can throw on for fall weather, a chilly office, or casual errands and still look put-together. It also washes well with no shrinking or fuzzing. First of all, I should mention that I am a little bit under 5’2” tall, and weigh 125 pounds. I am usually a size Medium in tops but I decided to get the Small because I didn’t want a boxy sweater. When I took this out of the shrink wrapped package, it was pretty wrinkled, so I threw it in the dryer for 15 minutes with a clean damp washcloth (my secret for dewrinkling clothes quickly). The sweater is 100% acrylic, which I don’t usually gravitate towards, but I figured I would give it a shot. Unfortunately acrylic does not do well in washers and dryers in my experience- they pill up very quickly and are prone to static. Even just having been in the dryer for 15 minutes (no washing, just dewrinkling in the dryer), there were a couple of slight areas of pilling already- not enough to bother me, but I will definitely not be doing any machine washing of this sweater, I will have to do it by hand if I need to wash it, and let it air dry. When I tried it on, I was kind of disappointed at how unflattering I thought it looked on me- but that’s not the sweater’s fault- I am very short waisted, and I don’t like boxy things at all – and this was very boxy on me and shorter than expected- it hit me at a bad spot..I was hoping for a bit more butt coverage I think. I definitely didn’t like it buttoned at all on me, I felt like the muffin man…lol…and when you button it, it is cut slightly shorter in the front than in the back, but when you wear it open, it is even all the way around. However, I liked it much better unbuttoned, and I like the slouchy, cozy, Boho feel of the sweater and the color is beautiful - a rich chocolatey brown. I’m not 100% sure that this is the sweater for someone short and short waisted like me- unless you’re looking for a shorter, boxy type sweater, but I bet it would look really good on taller, longer waisted body types! The is sweater is absolutely beautiful! I'm so happy with the quality and feel of it. It's a bit oversized but fits comfortably, the buttons are sewn on nice and tight and it looks great buttoned up or left open with a tank top underneath. Looks amazing with a pair of jeans and boots, but just as stunning with a nice skirt. I didn't need a coat when wearing it, it was plenty warm. It is not loosely knitted together, but not so tightly knitted that it's too warm. Perfect weight for a fall night or winter day!
