This crochet top is very soft. The crochet seems to be good quality. It is a loose fitting top, which I really like for layering over tanks. It has a nice lightweight drape and feels good, not scratchy at all. I ordered by the size chart and I am happy with the fit. I am short; therefore the slightly cropped length is a better style on me than a longer t-shirt length coverup. I live in a warmer climate so this will be useful from Spring all the way through Fall. This open knitted top is very nice, I really love a cotton top versus synthetic fabrics. The fit is a little boxy but I got a large and I could have gotten a medium, it is comfortable and slightly stiff but will soften in the first wash as cotton does. I am showing the arm holes because often when I see a summer shirt I want to know what kind of skin I'm risking showing, but since this is open holed, you would wear a tank top or camisole under it anyway.
