I purchased this as a gift for my 11 year old daughter. It is so easy to use, within minutes she figured it out and was curling her hair and her sisters hair non stop. I would suggest not doing others hair with it/have each person curl their own. One time it got knotted and stuck severely when she was using it on her sister. I dont think it would have been as severe if the person getting the curls was the one working the curling iron as they would feel it and stop much sooner. That was user error for sure. We haven't put product on the hair before curling to see how the build up might affect the auto curler. No matter, in a house with 4 girls, this is a time saver! I don't need to be curling their hair or in the same room monitoring. It has helped promote better hair care with my kiddo as well who has issues brushing her long hair and keeping it tangle free. This automatic hair curler is really nifty! I was worried my hair might get caught, but the safety feature that releases hair if there’s a tangle works perfectly. It makes curling easy and fast, even for someone without experience. Unfortunately, I think $50 is a bit pricey. Especially since I've seen this same type model on other websites for much less. I admit I was a little skeptical if this could replace or outshine my traditional hair curler but turns out it can really hold its own and I love the results it gave me. There is a bit of a learning curve at first but it was quick to get a hang of it after a few minutes. The instructions do a good job of explaining how to use this iron. I’ll add my one bit of advice is if you are curling hair in a direction away from face slid the hair on the side of the barrel closest to your face. And for curls going towards your face put it in the other side. I don’t know if it really makes much of a difference but I loved how my curls came out doing that way. I have fine medium length hair and 356°F was the perfect setting for me. The barrel is maybe 3/4 inches in diameter. It’s a little bit smaller than an inch. All I used was heat protectant and finished with a little texturizing spray and they have lasted over 24 hours so far. I can definitely see them lasting 2-3 days. I included 2 photos one after brushing the curls out a bit and the second is the next day. think what I loved most about using this device is that my arms weren’t aching at all like they would be on other curling irons. I have several of these, as I have been enjoying the different features available. This one is pretty easy to use. I do like the way you feed your hair into this one. It does result in a nice curl. I'd never used an auto curling iron before and was a little worried, but this product is actually pretty easy to use! It takes a couple of tries and you have to be careful not to use too much hair. But once you get the hand of it, you end up with really nice curls. You can finger comb or shake these out to get soft curls. The heating has different settings so you can curl on lower or higher temps as you prefer. It beeps to let you know how long it will rotate, and then beeps again to let you know when you can release. My wife has long hair and was honestly a little scared to try this automatic curler. She was afraid of her hair getting tangled or caught because of her length, but this machine actually did a pretty good job. It took her about 10 minutes to curl her entire head, which is impressive. She found that using small sections of hair worked best. Any time she tried to curl a thicker piece, the hair would get caught. Thankfully, the machine automatically stops when that happens, and it was easy to remove the hair without damage or stress.
