I bought this for my teenage daughter and it works really well. The automatic rotation makes it easy to use, and the anti-scald design makes me feel comfortable letting her use it on her own. The keratin-coated barrel leaves her hair smooth and shiny, and the curls last without frizz. The digital temperature display is clear, and the tangle-free feature actually works. Great quality, easy to use, and perfect for beginners and teens. My daughter loves it. Read more

Unfortunately, this came with an odd smell. I'm not sure if the initial smell came from the fact that it's a new product or that If it somehow got damp. However, It smelled strange before I used it, so I'm letting it air out (It came completely wrapped in plastic but still smelled as if the cardboard had been wet?) I did try a few sections of hair and have used a similar device. Surprisingly, this will actually curl my length of hair (looong), and the slot where you place your hair is deep enough to hold your hair in place - It has a v-shaped "slot" in the top-side of the curling iron and that's where you need to place the entire section of your hair you want to curl (any hair that falls outside of the slot can tangle, but I haven't tangled yet). As soon as you get the hang of it, it's more efficient than having to grab sections of hair and wrapping them around your old (non-automatic) curling iron yourself. The best way I found to use this was to watch a tutorial which took about 60 seconds. It was worth one minute of my time! It really is a lot more effective to let this automatically distribute my hair then it is for me too wrap my hair around a curling iron without something to guide me. It mechanically wraps hair more evenly along the barrel. Otherwise, I'm wrapping hair over top of other hair so that it's never evenly heated. I end up twisting my hair as I wrap it and that makes my hair thicker and harder to heat in different sections while overheating it in others. After a couple of attempts, you'll know exactly where to place your hair and how much hair to use for each section. The curling iron will then wrap it evenly for you. It really isn't that complicated once you watch a tutorial rather than trying to understand written directions. The negative ions are supposed to cut down on frizz and make hair more smooth, shiny and hold curl better by distributing heat more evenly, but my hair has a bit of a curl anyway. I get soft, bouncy curls, and once you know how to use this, it does work! I think it's better than a regular curling iron when it comes to preventing heat damage. It evenly heats hair, and therefore, takes less time. Putting it on the highest setting does not create the greatest curl though, and less heat gives me more of a beachy look. But, I'd like the smell to stop before I style my entire head. I'll update... Read more

I needed a larger curling wander at 1.5”since my other auto curler is only an 1” (it was triple the price of this one) and just didn’t want to spend that again and I’m glad I didn’t since this curler works great! I have fine hair and used the temp around 340 and curled great no tangles, no frizz…pic is a quick test of curler and worked great and imagine if I used a mirror 😆next time haha! Read more

I have so many different types of curling irons - with several automatic rotating ones - but this is the first time I'ver ever had this style - where you have to insert your hair into it. Well, as a beginner to this type of tool, let me just say that it does take a little bit of practice and patience. For starters, I want to say that that this does take 2-3 times as long to curl my hair versus other curling irons, but that is because I can only input a small amount of hair at a time - thus making the process take longer than normal. On top of that, I have had several instances where other sections of hair that were nearby got sucked into the motion, thus causing my hair to become momentarily tangled. Once I was able to get past these small hurdles, I will say that overall, I'm quite impressed with the tool. Because of the overall design, it's virtually impossible to burn yourself, as the ceramic barrell essentially has an outside barrier - thus not allowing for direct skin contact. Secondly, whatever coating is on this seems to really react to my hair, and doesn't cause that normal "heat feel" - my hair is left feeling healthier after I use this curling iron versus others. It provides pretty consisent curls, and the curls lasted for hours, which I haven't been able to acheive in quite some time. All in all, a great tool and recommended to add to your collection. It works great! It’s a little scary at first lol To say that there is no way it’ll tangle isn’t accurate but it definitely doesn’t get like permanently stuck, you just have to tug a little but I’ve done my whole head twice and the only time it got tangled was when I put way too big of a chunk of hair in. This automatic rotating curling iron is well made from a technical standpoint. It heats up quickly, the ceramic barrel feels solid, the digital temperature display is easy to read, and the anti-scald design genuinely helps reduce the risk of burns. The iron itself is not too heavy, and holding it for short sessions is comfortable. In terms of ease of use, the rotating mechanism works as advertised, but it requires a learning curve and careful sectioning. The biggest drawback is speed: the curler can only grab very small sections of hair at a time. If you have thick hair or a lot of volume, this dramatically slows the process. For me, doing a full hairstyle would easily take close to an hour, which makes it unrealistic for everyday styling. The curling ability is decent for small sections, producing defined curls, but it’s better suited for touch-ups, accent pieces, or occasional use rather than a full head of hair. Overall, it feels more like a fun styling gadget than a practical primary curling iron for people with dense or voluminous hair. Read more
