One of the downsides to modern console gaming on a PS5 is how quickly the internal 1 TB drive fills up. Coupled with the fact that a given game must be on the internal drive to be playable, if game hopping, the constant download and install cycle is a pain. That is where this hard drive shines. It allows you quickly swap games between internal and external storage, usually in a matter of minutes for a 100-ish GB game. Installation was easy. The instructions were minimal but adequate. At the end of the day, it is a 6TB USB drive and could be used with other device, but I bought this as a dedicated drive for the PS5 and it must be formatted as such during install. To me 6TB for the price is a amazing. The read/write speeds are good. I have had zero problems with this thing and it saves A LOT of time when switching games. Highly recommended. Read more

It was a pretty simple setup to begin with. It recognized my ps5 immediately and no formatting was required. Immediately starting downloading PS4 games with no issue as of yet. Keep in mind it is a HDD so it’ll require a bit more patience with the downloading speed, however, copying saved PS5 games and transferring back to my internal hardware took only 10 minutes- which is better than re-downloading. This device is already formatted for ps5 which makes it awesome to store games. Takes ps4 Games as well ans will transfer them to play almost immediately. Great device Read more

Really like the product It’s capacity, the look, the price. The only thing that could improve a bit is the weight. It’s a bit heavy makes hard to travel with it. But overall, it’s a great product. Read more

My only issue is finding out I can only have one external hard drive on at a time on the ps5 but other than that, works great and I like how the storage unit looks next to my white PS5. Read more

Bought this in jan 2023. Started out great. This recently in the past few weeks, i keep getting constant 'data corruption'. Keep being told to delete all my games, reformat and down load again. Ive done this 6 times already. Im getting completely fed up that i cant play any of my games. On top of that, you cant import ps5 games into your drive. So that is also a lie. You can only download ps4 games into it. Over all. This product sucks. I spent good money to download ps5 games into and play. And i cant even do that. No matter how many times i formatted, trouble shoot it. Ect. It doesnt change. Im fed up. Read more
