At first it seemed heavy, but when I wrapped it around my waist (for perspective I weigh 200lb and I’m 5 foot tall, so not a small waist) and got it positioned, the phone was perfectly stable and poised in front of my face! I no longer have to hold my phone! Both hands are free to rest as I watch. Sooooo relaxing!!! There is nothing negative I can say about this product! Once positioned I felt no heaviness. Of note: It did not feel good around my neck as it was heavy there. The small tab on the phone holder is the one that slides out. It hold the phone perfectly. During all the positioning activity it never dropped my phone! It feels very sturdy and stable when both ends of the cable are plugged into the phone holder itself. I love this product!! This cell phone holder works OK. The goose neck is sturdy and allows you to customize the position to fit your needs. I give it four stars because the posts that hold the clip to the gooseneck are magnetic and the plate that holds the phone easily detaches while trying to manipulate the device into your desired position. It takes some playing with to get it just right. I also find the clip to be awkward when attaching the phone. You have to place it carefully to avoid pressing the side buttons on your device.
