I honestly wasn't sure what to expect from this balaclava, but now that winter is setting in, I can officially say it's an absolute must-have. It's called the Balaclava Face Ski Mask with Light, and I picked it up in black. First off, let's talk about the mask itself. It's surprisingly comfortable and effective. The material is thick enough to block that biting wind without feeling suffocating or bulky under a hood. It covers my neck, ears, and most of my face perfectly, keeping me genuinely warm during freezing temperatures. For skiing or working outdoors, this alone makes it worth the price. The integrated USB rechargeable LED light is the reason this product goes from "good" to "awesome." It pops right out for easy charging (which is quick and lasts for several walks/hours of use), and it provides just the right amount of hands-free illumination. For me, the biggest win is using this thing to walk the dog at night. If you’ve ever fumbled with a leash, a poop bag, and a flashlight in cold weather, you know the struggle is real. No joke—this mask is a game-changer for those late-night trips outside. The light is perfectly positioned to shine where I need it, whether I’m checking for ice on the path or, well, picking up after the dog. My hands are finally free to manage the leash and stay tucked into my gloves. It also offers an extra layer of visibility so cars can see me coming, which is great peace of mind. It’s simple, effective, and solves a major pain point of being out in the dark and cold. If you spend any time outside when the sun is down (whether you're working, shoveling, or just walking your pet), grab one of these. You won't regret it. Read more

The temps finally have been dropping in this area and I got to use my ski mask for the fitst time. Out of the box it felt sturdy and soft. I would suggest washing it prior to wearing it, but thats just me. I gave the unit a quick 1 hour charge and I was off and running. The mask is of medium thickness, so it will keep you warm just as long your'e not in the teens or below temperatures, my honest opinion. Having said that, it feels light enough to use this on powerwalks and even runs. As it does have breathabilty to it, so much I will be using it on those colder outdoor workout days and nights. The light is very easy to use, self explanatory with a push of a button or 2. Adequate lighting and they did not go dim in the 45 min walk I took with my dog last night. Read more

This is a great idea. For me though, the placement of the light is a little high on the head so the light goes upward a little more than on my lighted beanie. So it's not quite as good as the beanie for going for a walk in the dark, where I want to see the ground more. It is good for making sure others see you as you're walking. Otherwise it's a great item to have for a power outage, car breakdown or other cold weather emergency. If you can get a good price, it's a definite buy, even at the current regular price, you will see a lot of balaclavas without a light selling at this price and even higher. Read more

My husband and I live on a farm and we have to go out to the barn regularly in cold winters to care for our horses. He wanted a face mask for the cold weather and I thought this was perfect because it has a click-on battery light to go out in the dark. Let me tell you - He LOVES this mask. The guy won’t wear anything uncomfortable and this is very soft. The light slides inside and fits in nicely (but it can be removed easily.) It gives him very good face coverage. I honestly would not know who he was if I didn’t watch him put it on - everything but the slivers of his eyes are covered. I highly recommend this mask. It was easy to get the light on and the material is very soft. Total win. Read more

This is going to be perfect for winter. My husband works outside and often stays on locations past dark. In the past, he's gotten a similar mask and put his head lamp onto it. This is such a great option to simplify that, as well as this mask feeling like a nicer material. The light has 3 strength settings, shines as bright and far as the head lamps he uses, and will hopefully last a good bit longer. Would recommend. Read more

Ordered this for early morning dog walking. It is quite warm and has a good fit. It has enough stretch to make putting on and taking off easy enough. The material is a polyester fleece-type fabric that is breathable. The headlight is an added bonus. It is rechargeable. Good quality. Very useful. Read more

It feels warm. It fits well. This will be nice for Colorado winters. The headlite part will come in handy when I have to take the dog out at night. It’s nice that it’s rechargeable. It feels to be well-made. Read more

The media could not be loaded. This balaclava face mask came up as a recommendation, and we were happy to try it out with winter just around the corner. As dog parents, we usually carry a flashlight or use our phone light during evening walks, especially when picking up after our pup. This mask replaces my hat, scarf, and flashlight all in one. The fleece material is soft, warm, and fits both me and my husband comfortably. The rechargeable LED light has three brightness levels that are easy to adjust with a single touch—level three is impressively bright. At just $12.99, it’s an incredibly affordable, practical, and gift-worthy item. Read more
