I got this for a Vine product review to give to a friend for Christmas. He rides his bicycle to work regardless of weather and out on the west coast it can be very rainy. With this he can keep his head, face, ears, and neck warm under his helmet. It is well made and good fabric. Breathable over the face. My only concern is how it will face when washed. I would not recommend putting this in the dryer. In fact I'd recommend hand washing so that it lasts. I am giving this 4 stars because I just don't feel it's worth $19.99 but I do recommend for something that is great for commuting to work whether you walk, cycle, transit, etc. Read more

This is a great face mask for any winter sport or outdoor work. The design is unique and a huge advantage because you can easily raise or lower the part that covers your nose and mouth. The material is just the right thickness and feels amazing. The outward facing side is smooth and feels silky. The inside part feels like fleece, so it is super warm. The fit is perfect, too. I got this to where because I ride my bike to work and it started getting down to around 35° in the morning. It keeps me plenty warm and I don't feel the cold come in at all. I got this for hunting inside my blacked-out box blind this fall. Last year I was picked off by a deer because of my camo balaclava inside of the blind. Not this year bucky! It's lightweight but warm for reasonable winter temps. I would wear this is in the 30s, but probably not down into the 20s or teens. This balaclava is great for outdoor activities. I had an old one that I had been using, but the condensation from my breath would build up, causing ice. This balaclava features a nice separate section that you can pull under your nose or mouth. It remains comfortable even when pulled down. My problem with condensation is gone.
