I purchased this bone broth specifically to use during my 48-hour clear liquid diet leading up to my bariatric procedure, and also to have something warm, soothing, and easy to tolerate during the early stages of recovery afterward. I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect because some broths can taste weak, greasy, or just plain unappetizing—especially when you’re relying on them as one of the few things you’re allowed to have. To my surprise, the flavor of this bone broth is genuinely great. It has a smooth, rich taste without being heavy, and the seasoning is balanced in a way that makes it easy to drink multiple times a day without getting overwhelmed. Excellent! This bone broth powered is perfect for so many uses, I’ve been adding it to soup bases and have also had it on its own for a quick meal at work. It does NOT have a chalky texture like many high protein products have which is impressive. With a low calorie count, high protein and great healthy taste I end up reaching for this often. It has a good beef flavor, but seems strange at first because it’s not overloaded with salt! I have to reset my taste buds to flavor- not to the salt and sugar that American food is. It’s so easy w/the packets to slip in your purse or to keep handy in the kitchen. Read more
