If you’re looking for some water shoes that are worth the price and easy to put on and take off these are a great option! They have one very strong Velcro on the side which makes it easy for kids to get them on and off themselves. The bottoms have just enough tread for kids to keep their balance on rocks. The sole insert comes out if they happen to get rocks or sand in their shoes. They’re super easy to clean and rinse off. They’re fast drying and keep anything pokey or hot off their feet at the lake, river, beach etc. I will say that sand can get in them fairly easily so if you go someplace sandy you may be taking them off to dump it out. They are very lightweight and pack up extremely easily. My son doesn’t use water shoes often so this was a great option that doesn’t break the bank. If you plan on using water shoes super often, I’m not sure how long or well these will hold up over time. But we all know that kids grow out of their shoes really fast so this is also a great option if you just need something for the season. Read more

Easy to slip on/off, no fussing, and they've held up to daily use without tearing or stretching out. My only real concern is the soles have basically no support or cushioning – they're thin and flexible like regular water socks, which is fine for sandy beaches or smooth pool bottoms, but if he's playing in a creek with sharp rocks or gravel, it could be dangerous. His little feet feel every pebble or pointy stone right through, so I've had to keep him in safer spots or switch to thicker-soled shoes for rougher areas. Not ideal for rocky adventures without adding some inserts or being extra careful. Overall, great for light water play, pool time, or soft beach days – my son asks for them every time we head out. These water shoes are very flat at first and I didn’t know what to expect in terms of fit. They are kind of loose and stretchy with a Velcro strap. The Velcro strap is ideal so you can fasten it as tightly as needed. If your toddler is VERY active I could see these potentially coming off, but for more calm swimming activities I think they would stay on fine. I got these for general protection from the scratchy pool bottom or walking on sand/shells and for that purpose they work great. For more serious walking I would opt for something else (but these are clearly advertised as water shoes so I don’t think anyone will buy these for walking).
