Works great for my doggie. He loves it and it’s great quality, ease of putting it on my dog is not terrible he’s usually so excited to be going out. It’s made of very good material that hasn’t ripped or anything, ease of walking is great but usually my dogs bring me for a walk instead of me taking them for a walk. This harness checked all boxes except the most important one - sizing. I measured (kind of stocky build pittie mix, not overly hard to fit) - he has 19in neck, 31 inch chest. I even read many reviews with similar sized dogs and went with Large. The neck was fine, the chest I finally got clipped but it was akin to a teenager laying down trying to snap jeans. I had it as loose as it could be and was pinching his skin trying to buckle. The XL I received already was as tight as it could be and it was very loose in chest. Doesn't make a lot of sense as the XL says chest size starts at 30? So it was a big 30, and the L says chest size to 32.5 yet 31 was barely doable?? Having said all that, I thought XL would work okay, but after second walk it's just drooping everywhere. Bottom line, as some others mentioned it runs small, or certainly did in our case. On the positive side, I got for the handle as my guy is very reactive and I wanted to be able to pull him back safely. Handle is great, very large on the XL! Color is great as well - love the patterned blue. It's lightweight and it doesn't rub any body parts so that is great. EDIT - same day I wrote this, decided to do a little more maneuvering, and I can tighten the chest a little more, takes some doing, but scratch out the size business, think it is going to be okay! Meant to mention clips can be tricky to unclasp if you have any hand issues, but I don't mind as that makes me feel like harness is more secure. Read more
I just love how this harness supports my dog. Instead of me pull her neck or spraining it, the harness protect her back. It comes with an adjustment strap so you can tighten it or loosen it, the material is so soft and breathable. Easy to put on if your little woof allows you to do it😂Back story; I had a normal color around my dog’s neck and my neighbor told me that she’s gonna take my dog away if I don’t get a harness. I bought this harness for my older dog after leg surgery, and it’s been a lifesaver. The top handle gives me the support I need to help him get up, steady him on slippery floors, and guide him safely up and down stairs. It’s padded and comfortable, even around his surgery sites, and the adjustable straps made it easy to get a secure fit. The harness feels sturdy, the reflective material is great for evening walks, and it’s much easier to use than a sling. I purchased 2 harnesses. One for my husky (Large) and one for my beagle/cocker mix (medium). They seem to be good quality! I love the colors! The harnesses were a good value! I am sending the medium harness back because I realized that I need a double harness for my dog... The one I bought is not very long on his back/stomach, and he needs help getting in and out of the car. There is nothing wrong with it. I just need a different type for him. Buy these! This is a nice solid harness but there are two issues with it... One, I really got it for the front clip to improve my pup's walking skills and keep her from being distracted by the rabbits in our neighborhood, but the front panel (front to back) is a bit too long and not adjustable so she somehow steps out of it! The rest of the harness fits perfectly but for us it's definitely not a no-pull harness. Two, the clips are ridiculously and unnecessarily hard to unclip, at least for me. I no longer have a lot of strength in my fingers and these take two fingers on each side to unclip. I almost returned it because of this alone, but making it work with 4 fingers. Otherwise, I love having the handle, it has come in "handy" on several occasions. The reflective stitching is also nice. Oddly, my gal prefers this over-the-head style better than having to step into her previous one, so it's a keeper for now. Read more
