I purchased this LIUQIBAX bed rail for my father who has been struggling with mobility issues recently, and I wanted to share my experience for anyone else looking for extra bedroom safety. Pros: Incredible Stability: Unlike some other rails that just slip under the mattress, this one has legs that extend all the way to the floor. That floor support makes a huge difference. It feels completely solid when you put your full weight (up to 400lbs according to the manual) on it to pull yourself up. It doesn't wobble. The Motion Sensor Light: This is the standout feature. I didn't think it would be that important, but it's fantastic for middle-of-the-night bathroom trips. As soon as feet hit the floor (within about 15 feet), the light triggers. It provides just enough illumination to see obstacles without blinding you or waking up a partner. Storage Pocket: It comes with a handy pouch attached. It's great for keeping a remote, reading glasses, or a phone right within arm's reach so they don't get lost in the sheets. Adjustable Height: We have a fairly thick pillow-top mattress, and I was worried about the fit. The legs are adjustable (14"-20"), so we were able to get it to the perfect height easily. Installation: Assembly was straightforward. It comes with a strap that goes under the mattress to anchor it to the other side of the bed frame. Do not skip this step! It prevents the rail from sliding out over time. The "staggered holes" design made it easy to fine-tune the height without feeling like I was forcing parts together. Cons/Notes: Make sure you measure your bed height first. While it is adjustable, you want to ensure the floor legs will reach properly if you have an unusually high or low bed frame. Verdict: If you are recovering from surgery, pregnant, or caring for an elderly family member, this is a solid investment. This bedrail has been a Godsend. My elderly mother lives alone and was falling out of bed at least 2 times per week. She has broken her brow bone and blackened her eyes on several occasions. I was at a loss. We tried large body pillows that were not working and then I found the bed rail. It was easy to put together, comes with a night light, and a pocket to put remotes, or lip balm in. The balancing mechanism slides in between the mattress and box spring. The legs have suction cups to stick to a wood floor, but it would work just as well on carpet. It is incredibly sturdy and was a great price that provided safety for her and a sense of security for me. I am pleased to share she has not fallen out of bed once since I purchased this and she has had it for nearly 2-months now. I will tell you that with an order you only get one bed rail. Purchased this for my 85 yr old grandpa to protect him from falling off the bed at night. He was skeptical about this aid but quickly learned to really like it. He finds it helpful in holding on to when getting into bed and when getting up. Most importantly it gives him a peace of mind that he is safe and will not fall off at night. The side rails are adjustable and we've set it up where he can get in and out w/o having to readjust anything and be comfortable and safe. The black one looks less hospital like. We had to rig it work. It doesn’t go low enough to work with my FIL’s bed. Other than that it seems like it’s decent quality. It was easy to set up. We just ended up taking the extension off the bottom and setting the poles inside the rubber boots in the bottom. I would have sent it back if we didn’t need it immediately. Read more
