Ya know, I’m not that old, but one night I guess I had a freaky dream or something. I heard this loud bang , a couple seconds later realized it was me! I was like owwwww, my arm and leg hurt. I was on the floor wrapped up in my sheet and blankets like a human burrito! Never in my life before had I fell out of bed! So I got myself untangled and managed to get up turn on the light . Here I had rolled out with such force that it pushed the nightstand over. I had scrapes on my arm and bruised thigh and butt! I was scared to go back to sleep, so I searched Amazon for a solution to keep me from rolling out again. Found this rail and it works well. Long enough to block me from rolling out but leaves enough room for me to get in and out easily . Stays secure under mattress, easy assembly, good price! Kinda sucks I have to sleep with a bed rail like I’m a1 year old, or a 90 year old, but at least I can rest easy that I’m not gonna break something if I rolled out again. Read more

The bed rail is easy to assemble and very sturdy. I like that there is extra stability in the rail that goes under the mattress and the rail is height adjustable. My elderly mother likes to sit up in bed and watch TV or be on FB. She has a life long habit of staying too close to the edge. She fell asleep, fell out of bed and busted her head on the side table. She didn't want the bed rail and I think she was imagining one that is on a hospital bed. I bought this expandeble bed rail without asking her. When it arrived, she liked it and was happy with the storage pockets too. In the photo you can see a small step ladder. She's very short and needs it to get in bed. With the bed rail she can hold on to it while getting into and out of the bed. Now, if she falls asleep, she is safe. The black part is like rubber so her head isn't hurt if it hits the rail. My 92 yr old dad recently had a hip replacement. This bedside rail has made a huge difference in him being able to get into the bed by himself. It can be adjusted as wide or narrow as needed. It also comes with a little pouch where he can keep his cell phone handy, the remote to lift the head of the bed up and some tissues close by. I was sitting on the tailgate of my truck with my girl in the WinnDixie parking lot enjoying the night air when a couple dudes walked up trying to start mess. I hopped off the truck to give them the business but on earth jumped out the bed and hit my head on the corner of the nightstand leaving a pretty big hash and a headache. I have not had this problem since installing this rail. I am 5'10 & 1/4 190lbs and it contains me well, very sturdy.
