My mattress felt less like a cozy haven and more like a slightly lumpy launchpad. Add in being a hot sleeper dreading warmer Chicago nights (hello, late April 2025!), and it was time for an upgrade. This BEDELITE topper arrived, looking impressively fluffy. Getting the King size fitted was surprisingly easy – the deep pockets handled my thick mattress with room to spare. It's very soft (that 800 GSM is no joke!) and makes the bed feel luxurious. The cooling effect? Noticeable! Not icy, but definitely more breathable and less swampy. Pros: Luxuriously soft and thick (800 GSM). Deep pockets fit king mattresses perfectly (8-21 inches). 1 Feels breathable, genuinely helps reduce night sweats. Nice quilted blue finish. It is soft, and thick, fits the bed as advertised. Is a decent value for the money, and easy to install. I was drier than expected as the AC went out on the 2nd floor in a desert climate during mid Spring. Needless to say, I did have a fan on, and the windows open as it cooled outside, but I still wasn't as cool as I wanted. We’re in our 50’s, live in a hot climate, and tend to be warm sleepers. So we were intrigued by the promise of this item. But for us, at least, it didn’t quite get there. Caveat: personal body warmth tends to be a subjective feeling, so I must say that your experience may differ, but here’s mine: This item comes vacuum packed in a relatively small box. It expands to become a decent-sized mattress topper, held on to the mattress by a white cotton elasticized bottom. The top is a silky synthetic material that is definitely cool to the touch. When you lay down on it for the first time, with no sheets or covers, it feels immediately cool for sure. But that is the biggest issue we had: once you put a fitted sheet over the topper, the cooling sensation was diminished quite a bit. You can just sleep directly on top of the topper, with no fitted sheet, and it does help, but then how would you keep it clean? I very much doubt it could be washed in a household washing machine. The second problem: when you sleep under the covers, the cooling sensation was diminished even more. We tried sleeping with and without a fitted sheet and we really couldn’t feel much of a cooling effect at all when we were under the covers (which are very light, for us). We crank our A/C high every night, like the manufacturer suggests in the listing, but it didn’t seem to matter. Perhaps the topper needs to be directly exposed to air for the cooling to happen? If you slept directly on top of it, with no sheets or covers at all (which we did not try), it perhaps would work better - but who sleeps like that? I can’t say that it didn’t cool at all - it seemed (?) to be ever so slightly cooler. And it is a soft mattress topper, which is nice on its own. So three stars for that, and for the idea that someone else may find it quite cool. But we just didn’t see any real cooling benefits that would justify the price. Read more

This mattress topper is constructed well, with excellent stitching and materials. It came in vacuum wrapped, and after you open the package it stretches into a nice topper and fits perfectly on our king-size mattress. It's a great plus and protection for my super thick mattress. The cooling surface is real due to its synthetic and silky fabric, but only if you use a very thin bedsheet or fitting sheet, otherwise you wouldn't feel lit. The padding inside did not offer as much cushioning but I don't mind that. Read more

This pad is constructed well, with excellent stitching and materials. It fits perfectly on our king-size mattress. I like that it was able to secure itself to our exceptionally thick mattress. The cooling surface does feel cool to the touch, although any cooling effect was not noticeable to me through the heavy sheets we use. It might work better if the sheets were lighter weight. The padding inside did not offer as much cushioning as I would have hoped, but it is better than some less expensive pads I’ve used. I find that I sleep well using it. Read more

I ordered this for a king-sized camper bed to keep us a little cooler on those hot summer evenings. We're not disappointed with the cover, but it is a little on the thin side compared to another one we have in the guest bedroom. It's decently made and the corner pockets are deep and will slide under the mattress, giving the whole thing a nice, tight fit that stays nice and tight. The cooling is also okay, we've had better but we've also had worse...much worse. Overall, nothing about this cover is a deal breaker and the cost won't break the bank. We'd just prefer a little thicker filling than this one delivered. That said, it would be perfect for fall and spring as it should handle moderately high temperatures and provide a nice, cool sleeping experience. Read more
