Cutting to the chase: Pros - Actually cool to the touch, even with a flannel bedsheet covering it! - Reversible, for the seasons you don't want cooling - Deep pockets, can fit a tall mattress or even a mattress that already has extra padding on it (like mine) - Provides some loft Cons - Not as lofty as expected, despite letting it breathe for approximately 72 hours then running it through the cool cycle for an hour in my dryer (this might be a "Pro" If you don't want loft) - Quality seems somewhat lacking for a $90 product: extra fabric in some areas, some fuzzy stuff coming out of the seams I run pretty warm, so having a cool mattress topper is right up my alley. This product fits that need exactly, with the added benefit that it's reversible for colder seasons. We've been having some cold nights recently, so I put flannel bedsheets on the bed. However, you can definitely still feel the cool from the mattress topper. That's a testiment to how effective this is at cooling, so that's not a complaint lol! It also provides some loft; however, it's not as fluffy or thick as it looks, at least not uniformly. Mine had some folds in some large sections of the "sidewalls" of the padding that never came out, and it further shows that it didn't fluff up as I would have liked.. or as the pictures show it to do. I made sure to let give it time to breathe and some time in the dryer, but it didn't get any fluffier, unfortunately. That's probably my biggest complaint. There is also some small issue with build quality, it seems, but it's not too much of a big deal, as of yet. This padded mattress cover fit my full mattress well, it looks soft and comfortable, and sort of is. Up until a couple months ago before buying a new memory foam mattress I would've liked using this. But since I do have a new memory foam mattress I found that this cancels out the benefits of the memory foam, making the mattress actually less comfortable. I didn't notice any cooling benefits after sleeping on it. The bottom line is the mattress cover is fine, with a soft feel and some extra padding, as long as it's not on top of a memory foam mattress. If you are sleeping on memory foam I can't recommend it.
