I bought a new bed in February, and beds are not cheap so I thought I should get a cover for it. Now 7 months later, my dog is on some medication, and last night he peed the bed while sleeping. (He's a very good boy and never has accidents, so I'm blaming the meds.) He is almost 100 pounds, so it was not a small amount, but the cover did it's job and none of it got on the mattress! It was completely dry underneath, nothing got through. We threw everything in the wash and no damage was done. I honestly forgot we had a cover on until this happened, but was so relieved when I remembered. I think it was $33 when I bought it, and it was worth every penny to save the mattress from destruction. Idk what I would have done without it. It fits the bed perfectly, and has been plenty durable so far. It feels like good material that will last a long time, and looks new again after going through the wash a few times. This mattress protector by BEDLORE actually fits my mom's 6 inch mattress well. I was shocked. When I held it up I was concerned since it appeared big. I didn't test the fitting when I received it. I washed and dried it immediately. The elastic is better than regular fitted sheets. It's not easy to find low profile sheets that are affordable. It is soft and quiet. I don't recall hearing any plastic or material noise. As for how effective it is, I’m not sure. I only sprinkled water on it. It did not soak through. I’ll have to update my review in the future. By the way, when I asked someone in the Q&A section, they said it would be a loose fit for a 6”. I’m glad I ignored them and took a chance. You can see in my photo that it’s not loose or baggy. Purchased the water proof mattress cover and the water proof padded top, which I've washed a few times and shows no wear or tear. I purchased for the first time in my life a brand new quality bed and plan on keeping it safe from pets and grandchildren. The perfect bed for a hardworking woman business owner. I can confirm that this will absorb urine so well that it won't spill over and it also won't leak through. It's also super comfortable and doesn't give that sweat suit like hot sticky feeling. If you want to be both comfortable and 'secure', I'd %1,000 recommend this protective cover. Washes and dries just fine, just follow the proper care. Use the delicate cycles.
