Chew-proof? Absolutely not a title selling point this item should have made. It was destroyed by my dog in minutes. The zipper material seemed easy, but the soft material it was made from is not durable and therefore the foam material the mattress was made from was easily accessed and ripped apart. I have had this crate pad for about 1.5 months now, and my 6 month old puppy hasn't torn it open yet. I will say that he isn't the 'most' aggressive chewer. But I have caught him tearing at it, chewing on it, and thrashing it around when he gets frustrated or bored, and It hasn't fully opened up. I have also washed and dried it multiple times. There are a few strings here and there that he has been able to start to pull out, but the bed is otherwise still intact. I'm actually surprised, because we had a regular crate pad before and he chewed those open very easily. I have to say, I didn't want to drop the dollar amount on this bed and crossed my fingers that it would work out because it was the only option I had left to cushion my pup's crate, and I am happy to say that it has been worth the purchase. Some people said that it isn't very thick, it's not, but it's not meant to be a dog bed, It's a crate cushion. I just throw a couple of soft blankets on top and this crate pad helps soften the bottom of the crate for my pup. I would definitely recommend this and buy again. But if you have a highly destructive dog, that might be a different story. Read more

I’ve gone through more “chew-proof” beds than I can count, and my older shepherd mix puppy has treated every one of them like a personal challenge—most don’t last a day, and the “tough” ones maybe make it to day two. This Bedsure Chew Proof Dog Bed actually lived up to its name. It held up perfectly until the day he had an upset stomach, and the bed had to be retired for reasons that had nothing to do with chewing. Would give 1/2 star if possible. Chew proof is VERY deceiving! Withing hours of being in her crate our 11 month bloodhound ripped the edge seem, dug a hole in the center of the mat and one corner. Easily washable but NOT chew proof. Read more

This dog bed is ok, provides some cushion and seems durable enough so far. I have noticed that our dog has chewed or scratched some threads up, but he gave up after awhile. Does not fluff up very much so this is really more of a liner that he can lay on in the crate. This is probably a good thing as he would probably scratch or chew on it more if it had more padding. I haven't had it long enough to wash it yet, but that seems to be a nice feature if it holds up. Overall, it seems worth the price so far. Read more

Very soft, corners are reinforced and seem durable. It is extremely thin and packaging was so tight due to vacuum sealing and rolling that it will likely take the full 3 days to fully regain its shape. The packaging was very difficult to open due to the tightness and it was hard not to puncture the product. Definitely not frustration-free packaging. Read more
