A solid bag that requires the right use case

Like all Bellroy products, the Hanging Toiletry Kit Plus is well made. It can be hard to assess from written measurements so let me just say that this toiletry bag is huge. Let me put it this way. You could fit a stack of at least five iPad Pros with Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil in the primary compartment with an inch left over on the top and sides. This makes the bag a great option if you like to travel with full size bottles of bathroom products. For ultralight and one bag travel, this is probably not the toiletry bag for you. It weights just short of 1 lb empty according to my calibrated scale. In terms of organization, there isn't much. There's one large compartment and four smaller, flat storage pockets. You won't lose things in this toiletry bag. Whether this is a plus or minus really depends on your organizational style. Aesthetically, I find design pretty non-descript. I struggled to find a color I liked. I settled on the Clay color, which is just okay. If I could order again, I would go for basic black. But this is completely subjective. Perhaps the detail that bothers me the most is the Bellroy label. It is cut into an odd shape and not quite straight on my bag. The bottom line is that there's nothing wrong with this bag (aside from the slightly crooked logo on the front). It does seem pricey for what you get, but if it's design and look align with your use case and sense of style, you'll be getting a good bag. Read more
