Very well made and stable platform. Read more
I personally paid 80 dollars for mine. A great medium duty tripod. Plenty sturdy for any shooting situation other than maybe using a super long and heavy 600mm telephoto lens weighing 13 pounds. It would probably be ok with the right gimbal head, but I personally would want something a little beefier for that. But for everyday shooting with a 300mm, or a wide angle lens? Its a great tripod! Very light and compact. The locks on the legs are super tight, they really SNAP into place, and the legs are super sturdy. No wobble what so ever. The tips of the feet unscrew, allowing them to be changed out form rubber to pointed steel. the center post was a little tight to move up and down, mainly because theres no lubricant. Its just a metal center post sliding up and down inside a composite bushing. I dabbed on a tiny drop of WD40 and smeared it around. JUST A TOUCH will do. Now it slides like butter, and the tightening collar holds it super tight regardless. No slipping down. The three legs can be splayed out to about a foot off the ground, for low and wide shooting. Its made entirely out of metal of one kind or another. Except for the locks on the legs. they are plastic. Its a very nice, basic tripod. Would definitely recommend!! Read more
I'm an outdoor photographer and I've been through a lot of tripods, traipsing through the woods, wading streams, and hopping boulders. I want a tripod that is reasonably priced, lightweight, quick to set up and break down, easily adjustable, yet extremely sturdy. And here it is! I also appreciate that the hinges and quick release levers can be adjusted for tightness, and the necessary tools come with the tripod. It extends to eye level for 6'2" me, yet collapses compact enough to stow in my backpack with the rest of my camera gear. Read more
I frequently ride my bike through the city, and this tripod is small enough to fit comfortably on my backpack while having the same sturdy nature of tripods I've owned that are 15 pounds heavier. I use it a lot for video, I was able to easily attach the fluid head I already owned, and have been using it non-stop without issue for months. Read more
