This tripod is the best I have ever owned. It is extremely sturdy and the height is exactly what I needed. It may be a little pricey but well worth the cost. I researched and went to a local camera shop and checked it out. Unfortunately they did not have any in stock just the demo. I needed the height and am not disappointed in the quality of this tripod. If you can afford this tripod, I highly recommend purchasing. I have gone through at least three lesser quality tripods and decided to spend the money on a quality tripod instead of continuing to purchase the $100 or less tripods. It is heavy and cumbersome when fully extended but it does not tip with all of my equipment attached. I use a Canon T7i with extended battery case attachment, a cold shoe that holds an external Rode microphone, and 5.5" external monitor along with all the cord attachments. I use this to record Sunday church service for online posting. I highly recommend this tripod and have not found anything negative even the cumbersome is a positive just means that being a short person I need help with the equipment but that was true of the cheaper tripods. Great light tripod, wish I had this 30 years ago. Buy this so you don’t have to keep buying more. This is the best tripod that I will actually carry with me, that I’ve owned. Paired with the right head your results will be what you carry a tripod for. I have no regrets buying this one. I’ve spent way more than the cost of this tripod on less capable ones. Read more

Best tripod I have ever used! The only issue I have is that it’s a little heavy for me, but that is to be expected with the length and quality of the item. I LOVE it! Read more

I’ve been using this tripod now for about 6 months. Style: Carbon Fiber. Size: 4 Series / 4 Section Extra Long. I purchased the extra long version because I’m 6 foot 5 and very much wanted to look directly through the viewfinder of my camera without bending over, which was always my experience with normal length tripods. This tripod meets that need and then some, for with the center column extended the camera is above my head! Whenever I’ve used this around other photographers they always comment, “wow that’s…tall.” Construction wise, it’s solid. Very sturdy, especially in wind, which helps minimize vibration (critical for long exposures). The twist-lock legs work well and have full-stops when each section is extended. Meaning, when extending the legs you can confidently pull each section open and they’ll hit a definite end point without popping out. Center column is thick and easy to use. A couple of things to be aware of if you’re considering this model. One, the “extra tall” version is longer than your average tripod, so if you plan on packing it for travel you may need to measure your luggage to ensure it will fit. Second, I’ve found this model to be too large for strapping onto to the outside of a backpack (too long, thick). It’s great when pulled out of a car and carried short distances, but hiking isn’t fun. I’ve hiked many miles carrying this tripod by hand / over my shoulder. I will probably end up purchasing a smaller model for this purpose. Overall, very happy with this tripod! Read more

I just purchased the Benro Mach3 Extra Long Carbon Fiber 4 Series Tripod (TMA48CXL), and based on watching the video, I thought that this tripod had a detachable monopod as well. It doesn't. When I couldn't unscrew the monopod leg, I turned to the instructions to see what I might be doing wrong. That is when I read on the very last line: "Note: Series 3 and Series 4 tripods do not include the detachable monopod feature". On a positive note, the tripod itself is just as advertised - tall, strong, a little on the heavy side, but overall, very nice. Read more
