Having the laptop display in a vertical position just like a desktop monitor is wonderful! This option greatly reduces user strain for me. The variable tilt positions of the stand allows the keyboard to be positioned in a way that all keys are viewable at the same time. The price is very affordable compared to others. I tried the stand with several different laptop computers and a couple of larger Workstation portables (HP and Lenovo brands). The only problem I found was with one workstation model which had a slanted bottom edge. That didn't work well with the Stand's rounded edges at the bottom. That one model was somewhat unstable with this BESIGN stand but all others that I tried were very stable! Read more

It holds my computer up, but if I ever need to move it, it's a little flimsy and I have to readjust. If you're going to use this in one spot it's perfect, but it doesn't lock into place. Read more
Exactly what you expect for the price; it serves it's purpose until you get what you actually need. I like how slim and small it gets, fitting easily in my laptop case, and the mechanism for opening and closing, but while it doesn't necessarily slip on the surface it rests on, the laptop has a hard time perching in my opinion. I have a 15.5" laptop, so on the larger side, but I wish the ski tips came up a little higher, and/or had some better grip for the computer itself. For less than $7 it's hard to complain, but it's definitely not a solution, just a temporary crutch. A piece of mine is already broken, but I use this in all sorts of situations and am not known for my gentle ways. Read more
This is a MUST have for your laptop case gadgets. It's slim, compact, and has a sweet design to it. HOWEVER, it is made out of plastic. Which means that you wanna set your laptop on it gingerly when using it. Don't just whack your laptop on top of it. I don't know if making this riser out of some kind of metal would be difficult or just not cost effective. I paid under 7 bucks for thus, but I'd pay quadruple that for this sweet, compact tool in a lightweight metal. PS, if you do keep it in your laptop case, I recommend leaving the riser in its little box. You can just slip it in with your laptop, no big hardship. This will help prevent accidentally bending, cracking, or breaking the riser under the weight of your laptop; or even just dropping the case. Read more
