I am a very OC person when it comes to buying things for my family, so I had to search for the best brands in terms of quality, accuracy, durability, and easy-to-use way, but not to costly and This FT90 was suggested. So I ordered this after a few searches here and there. I am very happy with product. A big check for all the things I am searching for in a product, plus the casing is so chic, compact and durable. I could not see any flaw at the moment with this as I tested it immediately. I love the lighting after checking as you can check even in the dark. It is also lightweight despite the size and would not mind bringing it with me everyday. :) I am putting a 4 not because it is not the best, but I know Beurer will have much better products in the future, an upgrade of this FT90, which I will be waiting to have soon. I only hope that Beurer will also have a contactless thermometer suitable for the arms or wrist aside from the forehead. Though I have tried to test it on the wrist area and there is not a big difference when checking it on the forehead. Oh, and the best part too is you can check room temperature and objects! Read more
I've been using FT 60 model for I believe about 8 years. It was a life saver! Worked perfectly well in a harsh kitchen environment (two formula-feeding babies grown up with this excellent device). However, it had one fatal flaw: no any back-light at all! So after taking measurements at the dark you need to run as quickly as possible to see the numbers near the light source and you have just 5 seconds until they disappear from the screen. The flaw came with an advantage - it was twice smaller than FT 90 model and required just one tablet-size battery. The second flaw was - you need to use both hands (to push two buttons simultaneously) to take object-temperature measurements; The third - not so long ago a button at the center simply jumped our (a plastic thing inside it just scratched off after 8 years of pushing, but even in such state it's pretty usable (you still can press a tiny red button on the circuit if you have a thin fingers, see the picture lol). So FT 90 lacks all the flaws above - it has back-light, it doesn't require two hands in any mode, it's faster. The only flaw - it's twice bigger, but I don't really care about it... So the excellent successive product I would recommend to anyone, especially formula-feeding parents. Read more
I bought this for our your son to use since he does not like using an oral thermometer. Last night my wife had a fever and we gave this thermometer a try. Her temperature showed 98 to 99 degrees (tested twice) but she felt warmer so we tested with our old oral thermometer. She came up as slightly above 101 degrees. I would not recommend this product if you want precise temperature measurements, especially for children who may not be able to adequately explain if they feel unwell. Read more
I tested this against the thermometer I us use and they came out basically the same every time. I love that it also tells you a room's and an object's temperature, so it's basically a 3-in-1. That'll be great for when measuring a baby bottle or anything else that needs to be a specific temp. Quality feels very sturdy and the font is easy to read. The manual was also very clear. This thermometer was easy to set up. The directions were clear and using it is easy. The numbers are large enough to see clearly. It has an audio tone which is not too loud. It comes with a case which is great to protect the device. Overall very satisfied with the purchase. Read more
It was easy to setup and easy to use. It is fairly accurate for a non-contact thermometer. I like the automatic memory feature which saves both DATE and TIME of the last 60 readings. Very nice quality thermometer and storage case as well. Read more
