I have a bad habit of literally gnawing off my nail polish like some kind of monster. Not eating. It peels, kind of gratifying like removing the plastic from new electronics kind of thing. It's.. a nervous habit. As a result my nails can get kind of mangled and over time they'd definitely become more thin and brittle. I think I'd need more time with these to see if I get skin/hair benefits (another month to see if I "glow"), but my nails feel basically indestructible right now, much harder and resilient. Biosil is kind of interesting. Choline... kind of scares me if I'm being honest. Choline is abundant in animal derived foods like red meat, eggs, full fat dairy products, and is a precursor to TMAO, which may increase certain health risks. Choline itself is considered an essential nutrient, and TMAO production can be reduced with a Mediterranean diet. In my case I'm mostly vegetarian, following to Mediterranean pretty closely (by accident mostly), so hoping that this isn't an issue for me. The levels presented here, are (maybe obviously) pretty small. 18% daily value, I can't imagine it causing issues. Joints may be feeling better, hard to say. I don't particularly trust company sponsored peer reviewed research, so not getting into that whole mess. I think in general this is potentially a useful supplement, particularly for those following a vegetarian diet, with regards some of the claims this company makes. Read more
