The most ergonomically and orthotically designed sandal on the market, at almost half of the cost at any retail outlet, what's not to love? Having multiple hardware in my right foot, from a mountaineering/climbing accident 15 years ago, my feet can only tolerate the most comfortable fitting and wearing shoes. These Birks, fit perfectly to my foot, feel like you are wearing almost nothing, and cushion my heels, so that I'm able to wear these all day, without my feet getting sore. This is the first time I've ever purchased them online. I used to go to a Birkenstock store almost an hour away from here - (Joshua Tree - yes right near the national park) and would have to shell out $130 plus tax. These cost almost half from Amazon, and shipped in a few days. If you're outdoors alot, active person, these are the best, most comfortable, longest lasting sandals on the market. Incredibly well designed, they are extremely durable and can be repaired/resoled several times before having to be tossed. This purchase was my 2nd pair, after my 1st pair lasted 9 years! Still have the first, but their now my backup pair for when feet are dirtier, working outside etc. I would highly recommend these to everyone, young & old, male female. Read more

My oldest son bought this Birkenstock and then my youngest wanted to mimic him. I was a bit skeptical my youngest would wear it but he loves it. He even took them with us on an overseas trip and for a teenage boy who are trying to figure out their style, it looks good on him and goes with everything. I have been wearing the same size in regular Birkenstock for years but thought I would treat myself to a SFB. I am very unhappy with this purchase as the sizing is not the same as for the regular bed. It is probably at least one size too small. I'm very unhappy that I spent the extra money and got a shoe that does not properly fit. Read more

I love my Birkenstock sandals. I'm a size * medium women's, so I got the 39 M EU which is about an 8-8.5 women's fit. As I expected, they fit more like an 8.5, but that's fine with me. If I went down to a 38 M EU, they would've been borderline too small. The color was nicer in person than I expected. I've been wearing them a bit so they break in and the leather loosens up and my foot imprints into the footbed, making them fit just great. The leather is already feeling more comfy. I will be wearing these all the time, even if the weather doesn't get warmer anytime soon. ;) Read more
