I did size up to a large because I wanted a looser fit, but I wish I had not sized up and gone with my normal size, Medium. The material is soft, but it will snag is you're not careful. All the seams are straight and this cover-up has some weight to it. If I was going on vacation, I'd probably choose something different, because this is a bit heavy, and my suitcases are always close to the weight or slightly over.
