For a starter pack this is great! I love that is comes with both of the bags. However, I really didn't need the frother--I already have an immersion blender. So I looked up the cost of the matcha powder, and I'd say that even that is well priced. I think the quality of ingredients (Coconut milk powder, matcha, moringa) is my second favorite thing about this. My favorite thing is the flavor. Both the matcha and the lavender are delicious and nutritious. They're also vegan--if you're allergic to coconut, you're out of luck. I will admit there is a bit of sediment, but it isn't the worst. I've had numerous different shakes and nutrition mixtures, and while the sediment is there, it's minimal and not a horrible texture or after-taste. It's even less if you follow the instructions, but I'm lazy and don't do the hot water part most of the time. I also realize lavender isn't everyone's favorite flavor and that is easy to go a bit much on it, but this is very soft and delicate. The frother is "okay"---it comes with a charging cable and I've very over micro-USB in this day and age, but it is what it is. It's nice that its cordless, but that being said it isn't as powerful as an immersion blender. There are three different speed settings on it and you have to keeping pressing the power button to toggle them. I'm excited that I found this brand through vine and then try out some of their other flavors... especially their hot chocolate and chai ones. Read more

I'm not sure where all this negativity is coming from. This is a great little starter kit and would especially make a great gift for someone. I do agree the price is a little high, but overall it's a good matcha starter kit. The frother while nothing extra special is actually nice that it comes with a simple mixer and a frother attachment plus 3 speeds. I agree toggling between speeds could be better accomplished. It's nice that its USB rechargable as i used to have one and it was a pain when the battery died. It worked really well mixing the drink and for someone just getting into matcha who doesn't have a mixing tool, it's necesarry. The matcha tea was decent. Pretty standard in my opinion and made a good latter. The lavender one i liked because it's unique and had a fun blue color to it. It's nice to have something to drink in the evening before bed that won't get you wired. Read more

After trying out this starter pack from Blume, I have trouble recommending it. The reason is mainly due to the price. $63 for what you get in this bundle is just too much. I have seen rechargeable milk frothers like the one in this kit for $13, so that would make each bag of drink powder $25 each. Since each bag is only 2.5 ounces, you're really paying a premium for these drinks. I do like the fact that the blue lavender latte blend is caffeine-free, so I can drink it in the evening. You're supposed to mix 1 teaspoon of the powder with a "splash" of boiling water, 1 cup of hot or cold frothed milk, and some sweetener. The directions are the same for the matcha coconut latte powder, but since that one has caffeine I would recommend only drinking it at night. I think both of these drinks taste good and I would love to order them again, but not at the current price. I can buy genuine Japanese matcha green tea powder and make my own matcha latte drinks for a lot less than what these drinks cost. Read more

I’m trying to create a really nice relaxing morning routine and this is definitely part of it. This is so cool because with this kit you’re going to get two powders and all you have to do is add warm water or milk with it and use the included electric stirrer/frother. I love the fact that the electric froth is charged by a USB cord and it is rechargeable. I have one already, but I have to use batteries for it which can be a pain. These powders dilute in the beverage very easily and taste. amazing! They also make very beautiful colors. Read more
