I purchased this for my son who has a broken clavicle. This made all the difference in reducing his pain! It stays in place really well and stays connected with the Velcro. It’s good quality for sure. You can adjust the straps to your liking. It’s padded around the shoulders and under the arm so it’s comfortable and doesn’t rub. You could also use this brace just to improve your posture because it does hold you up tall and straight. For reference my son is 6’1” and 180 lbs and we purchased the large size. When we first put it on we thought we may need a bigger size but look closely at the diagram for placement and that helped. You want it strapped tight to pull those shoulders back. Highly recommend! Doctor recommended a support brace when my 12-yr old fractured his clavicle. At his one month follow up, we were told he had healed up very nicely. It was very important to be positioned properly most especially during the first couple of weeks of healing. This brace allowed adjustments throughout the weeks and pull back tighter as he became better able to move his shoulder. Easy to clean-- just threw it into the washer and dryer. Even after it has served it's purpose, I have kept it on hand just in case anyone wants to use it to improve their posture. It truly is a one-size fit-- my 12 yr old has used it and my husband can fit it as well. There are no magic components or fancy colors or accessories with this support brace, but sometimes simplicity works best. Read more

My only complaint is that the Wide Padding pinches my under-arm area. I will probably do some modifying to custom fit that area. The brace is very well made, and does the job. I can actually slip it on & off, over my head, without having to release the Velcro attachment. My wife & I both wear these to keep us from slumping forward so much when we spend long hour on the computer, washing dishes, etc. Read more

After a clavicle and pectoral injury with surgery, and with a lengthy projected recovery period, I tried this brace to help with comfort - I'm better in motion than sitting or standing around, and hoped this brace would help for those times of inactivity. I've noticed that while wearing a light backpack, the symptoms actually feel better. This brace seemed to approximate the positioning of the backpack. Unfortunately, the large straps on the brace were rather rigid and uncomfortable. I'm fairly big through the upper back and chest; with my wife's assistance, we just couldn't get the brace positioned either to be comfortable or even to stay closed when I extended my arms. There was no choice but to return it. Silly as it sounds, I'll likely wear my light backpack when I can get away with it to do a better job than this brace. Sorry it didn't work. It's a good idea but this particular product didn't do the job for me. Maybe it's all about size? I ordered and extra large but it still seemed too tight. Read more

This was for my 13-year-old son, the support it’s Okay. The straps go around the arm which is a bit uncomfortable for my son. Not much support for the back. When I’m not watching him it’s easy for him to take it off sliding the straps over the shoulders. Read more

Broke my clavicle, 6 broken ribs, and had a pneumothorax. Hurt badly, 4 days in the hospital. More immobilizing pain than I've ever had. Once pain control and some healing had been accomplished I was sent home with an arm sling. It worked somewhat, but the most painful single item and persistently annoying was the clavicle. It felt like rats gnawing on the bone. My arm and hand were kind of useless with the pain. When the brace arrived and my wife put it on (easy), the pain IMMEDIATELY decreased, and my ability to move my arm IMPROVED SUBSTANTIALLY. Take the brace off > immediately reversal. I simply don't seen a need for the sling anymore. Only gripe, which is probably personal, is I get kind of itchy under the brace straps after hours of wearing it. I tried 24 hours the first time wearing it to bed, which is not as important I found. That seemed to respond well to benadryl cream. I suspect OTC steroid cream would work well too. I'll try that next. Read more

It works fine, but the bottom straps are uncomfortable under the arms. Bulky and a little high up for me. Read more
