I got this to replace my old trimmer that stopped holding a charge. I love how long it lasts on a single charge as well as its ease of use. While changing the various trimmer devices is easy, it’s a bit funky in that it feels like you need to be real careful as to not crack the plastic. My old trimmer had metal clips so it felt more sturdy. But for the price it’s a good deal and it’s proven to be more effective than my previous trimmer so far. Read more

I had bought a cheap beard trimmer a few yrs back - less than $20. Not sure if I can name the brand but it's two words, beginning with "P" and "N." That trimmer lasted less than 2 yrs. Bought another - it lasted less than a year. So now I decided to go with a different brand and a few steps up in quality. I love this Braun trimmer! The key is the rotary wheel that allows precise adjustment for trimming both the beard and hair. That makes it so easy and fast to use! I keep my beard around 7mm so this works great. And I give myself short haircuts so I should be able to use this for that as well. Of course I hope the longevity is there with this unit. Seems to be quality made - and changing the trimmer attachments is a breeze! I only just received it and trimmed my beard once so far. Pros: This is not my first Braun Trimmer. I like them. I like the way the adjustable wheel works on these compared to other brands. They're waterproof so very easy to keep clean. The only issue is eventually, the battery starts to die. After 2.5-5 years, they'll stop ever having "full power" if that makes sense. But that's a good life for me. The only "Con" is petty, and I'm only bringing this up because i see it mentioned in some reviews. When putting the two trimmer heads on that are adjustable, they don't always automatically start at the number set. They kinda default all the way down to zero (the closest setting). All the braun trimmers have done this. This is what's happening when you read a review where someone complains i't's shaved their beard too far down. What you need to do, is place the head on with it set to zero, or after placing it on dial it down to zero and back up. Make sure it's adjusting, then set it wherever you want. If it's not moving, you're set to shave your beard off. Read more

I purchased 8/23 and only use every 3 or 4 weeks. Like another review, the dial fell off and I am able to click it back on, but the trimmer length shield slides up and down with no resistance. Another design I don't care for the guard likes to catch hair in it instead of it falling out. When trimming my beard, I am able to make 2 or 3 passes then I have to remove the guard to remove hair so I can continue. I have had Brain razor for many years and it just works - this design is lacking. Read more
