This is an EXCELLENT trimmer kit. The trimmer action is smooth and effective, and I don't get any snags or pulling with it. This is the first trimmer I myself have used that I genuinely don't worry about nicking myself or having it pull hair no matter where I'm grooming. It's so smooth and requires so little effort that I hardly even deal with that neck twinge reaction when I'm trimming up the hair at the base of my neck. The adjustable guard attachments are great, and the dial adjustment works very well and is easy to use. There is a switch to lock the dial so that you can't accidentally change the height mid-trim. So far I've used the regular trimmer, the body trimmer, and the ear/nose trimmer attachments. All of them have worked well, the only one I had any issue with was the ear/nose hair trimmer (it gets very warm while using it). This is probably partially my fault for not having a trimmer for these areas, so there was a lot of hair to get through, but I had to do one spot at a time and let it cool for a moment between areas because it was getting uncomfortable. I've not used the "precision" attachment yet, as I've not found a need for it myself, but it has the same build quality as the others so I suspect it would perform well. The trimmer itself has a good weight to it, enough to feel high quality and like a premium product, but not so much that it's difficult to handle or maneuver in one hand as needed. The Gillette razor included is very smooth as well, with shaving cream/gel/lather it cuts through my thick facial hair very easily, single pass shave even after 4-5 days of growth (though I do need to rinse out the cartridge more often if it is longer). The cartridge head has some form of built in soothing gel that activates with water/lather to make shaving even smoother and to reduce irritation on freshly shaven skin. This can be kind of off-putting at first just because of how thick and viscous it is, but give it a chance and I think you'll find how much it improves the shaving experience. It can build up though if you are in the same area too much, so I find sometimes spreading it around as another layer of shaving gel works well for it. Read more

I recently acquired this Braun Series 9 Beard trimmer for both review and to put into use in my daily grooming. This is a pretty descent trimmer, in general. Its not spectacular by any means, but it does what it is meant to do. It seems pretty durable. Its not at all heavy and has a comfortable size to grip ratio. Switching the heads and guards is easy-to-use. Its also easy to clean. It is rechargeable which is nice. However, in a world of USB-C powered rechargeables, this fails in that area. But its still rechargeable. The storage bag is okay. It stores all the accessories and the trimmer pretty tightly. Just enough room to zip it up. The value for this Braun trimmer is a way overpriced, although it is a descent trimmer, the price I guess you are paying for is in the brand's name. Honestly, there are many price friendly options in the name brand league that out do this particular unit, but it is still a quality trimmer. Read more

I’ve used a lot of trimmers over the years, and this one immediately stood out as a step up from most of the others I’ve owned. The trimming action is really smooth and consistent. This thing is very durable and versatile. It has so many attachments it is going to take me weeks to figure out how to use them all! The size and weight is perfect and it makes very little noise. Easy to use but don't be like me and use the wrong comb to trim your beard because in my case it took way too much off as I had the wrong comb on. I also need to practice with this as it is so much more complex than my old razor. Comes with a nice instruction book, a case, a charger with adapter and a whole slew of attachments. The precision bead trimmer is very nice and so is the ear/nose attachment. It has a 50 position wheel with a lock so your comb does not slip when pushed too hard which is a very nice feature. It is waterproof and while I just use it on my beard I can see where that would be handy. This actually is not a beard trimmer but more of a beard styler in my opinion. The battery life is fantastic on this and the razor itself is very quick cutting, safe and does not tug on your beard. So many things to explore with this razor 9 in one kit.
