Just used it for the first time - received it a week ago. I am a 62 year old white male and I’m on the hairy side. I have recently used trimmers made by Wahl and Remington, but did not have good experiences. This trimmer is a significant step up in function, handling and performance. The design and construction are solid. The electric motor is strong and not overly loud or annoying. It is light, well-balanced and easy to navigate/handle. I charged it when I took it out of the box and that was easily done. The dial indicator on the guard over the cutting head is very good, and the teeth on the guide are rounded and will not catch on delicate skin. The adjustment range is easy to use and it stays where you’ve set it. I used it without the guide on my scalp and it worked very smoothly. It came with a number of attachments I have not used yet. I trim my scalp - which I keep skin-tight - my beard and my nose hair and I use the trimmer for manscaping in delicate areas. I am very happy with this trimmer. I’ve never felt the need to spend 100.00 for a trimmer. This trimmer is competitively priced and you get a lot for the money you spend. Used it twice, so far, and it does a good job. I had another brand that I had purchased 6 months before. It stop cuutting my beard and started pulling. So this is why I purchsed the Braun. I like the dial, instead of different combs. I started at a 10 and moved to a 5. It provides a clean trim. It does not shave smooth, and I did not expect it to. Without the comb on, the beard can be cut short enough to use a razor. Have not used the other attachments. Came with a standard charger (not usb I saw in other review). Read more

this is a replacement from essentially the same model purchased 5 years ago. 30 bucks over 5 years comes to 50 cents a month. an excellent value. easy to use smart design and none of those 10 height adjusting snap ons you find on other brands. just dial the height setting that what works. super powerful and reliable. the attachments for nose, ear, sideburns etc work well. highly recommend if you want a “ no fuss “ trim and go experience Read more

As others have said, mine has also died after only 4 months of use. Charger shows green light, but trimmer will not turn on. I never used it till it died, always kept a charge and just randomly died. Read more

I had a Braun beard trimmer before and I like this one even more. Cuts nice and even (I like having so many different length options) and the nose hair trimmer is easy to swap out. Great value. Read more
