Keeps me warm and holds my long hair underneath.
It's a thick and warm piece. The holes are only for the mouth area. I wish it had it up to the nostril areas because I just don't like it covering my nose. It's too tight for my liking and keeps me from breathing through my nose, so I have it only over my mouth. I'm using it for cold warehouse purposes, so maybe others don't get that option since they need to cover as much of their face outside in the harsher elements. Another small complaint is how I wish it had ear holes for me to put earplugs in required for work. It's a lot trickier to put in or take out during breaks. Read more

Amazing For the Winter for an ACDF Triple Fusion
After having a triple ACDF (triple fusion of my neck) in February of this year I needed something warm around my neck and head area. This is it! It’s soft and lightweight, stretchy and most of all… WARM!!! It fits my noggin perfectly and is really good quality - as another person suggested they should make them with slits at the bottom for long hair though - overall I’m very happy with this purchase and I’ll definitely be buying more in other colors For reference - age 44 - triple fusion of the neck and 10 months post op - cold effects the surgery site and makes my shoulders and neck achy and tight - this balaclava covers the entire neck area - is breathable - stretchy and fits great - definitely recommend to anyone that has had any type of neck surgery or anyone that hates the cold lol Picture three is the incision site on my neck (not gross looking - very healed and bones are fused) Read more

Good for temps in the 20's & 30's.
This ski mask is good quality, fits well, and comfortable. I especially like the breathing holes so glasses don't fog. The wind protection is really good as long as the wind isn't blowing directly in your face, but then I'm not sure that can be corrected without making the mask ungainly. It's well worth the money.
