The kids love it. Must be powered by the most energy inefficient LED because it needs new batteries about once a week. It stays on for 1 hour and then turns itself off. We put it on when our son goes to sleep so it runs about 7 hours per week. It rotates through three colors (green, blue and orange/yellow). If the orange/yellow color is red then you know the batteries are low. It will display red for a couple of seconds and then power off. If you do purchase invest in rechargeable batteries! Read more

Waste of money

I originally ordered it and the battery compartment screw backing was missing, so I couldn't screw closed the battery lid. I had to return it and buy it again. It came again, and this time it worked for a few days, then it flickered on and off. We realized that the battery was not touching both connections. My husband opened it up and put a coin to tighten it up. That was great for a while, but then after another week the battery lid bowed out and it started flickering again. It's cute and when it worked...it was great. The trick is keeping it working. I admit my kids aren't the most gentle, but they are not unusually wild with their stuff either. They are obviously meant for children, but they are not sturdy. Read more
