This is just what I was looking for. Something to put in my contempory living room. I say this sturdy enough unless you have little kids or unruly pets. The legs are a nice brass and larger than the picture. There are 3 levels of light source. The high level is very bright and lights up a room easily - the middle still bright and the lower dimmer. You can rotate the 3 bulbs anyway you want to direct the lighting. One side is gold so it blocks the light and the otherside is a white bulb so it directs the light. Many variations depending on your needs at the time. I wrapped the cord around one leg to it is hidden mostly and kept the foot on/off pedal within reach. We saw a lamp almost exactly like this in a high end store and couldn't justify the price. My wife perused Amazon and came across this lamp at about an eighth of the cost. We didn't trust it due to the price but took a chance. We can't tell the difference! The lamp is very very cool looking and seems to be of good quality. Not only does it have 2 light levels controlled by a foot button but the lamps themselves can't be turned independently to have different reflective light effects. Great purchase. Read more

Extremely easy to assemble, with clear instructions, beautiful minimalistic look. Just keep in mind that the “footprint” of the legs is a little wider than your standard floor lamp.
