We wanted a Mid Century Modern look in the front room of our new home, and these lamps were just what I was looking for in lighting. They are quality materials, and the finish on the wood is really pretty. I was able to assemble them quickly. Although it took me a minute with the first shade, I was much faster with the second, once I figured out to ease the shade around to pick up any slack before the next set of clips. I did them on the sofa and gently rolled them. The fastener is a magnet (I see earlier reviews talking about Velcro). Where they are in my space, I did put the seam to the back, but I don't find it offensive. Of course you can always swap out the shades if it really bothers you or you want another color. As you assemble, you'll need to pull the cord down through the bottom to take up the slack. If I'm quibbling, I would have appreciated a fastener of some type for the extra cord. Right now I'm using rubber bands, but I'll get a couple Velcro cord holders. Also, I missed the part of the description that they are smart/Google adaptable if you buy their smart plug adapter. We opted to just buy the smart bulbs we have in other lamps in the house, but be aware the bulbs/lamps as they are shipped are not smart as they come. Read more

The lamp arrived well-packaged in a surprisingly small box. The shade fabric came rolled and packed in a protective box. It then clipped onto two circular wire frames, top and bottom. I had never put together a lampshade before! But it went smoothly. The assembly instructions for the lamp base were clear and easy to follow. For the price of the product, I was surprised by how sturdy and well-balanced it was. I was skeptical about the wattage of the bulb provided since I needed the lamp for general room illumination and it was only the equivalent of a 60W incandescent bulb. But it produced such a pleasing, diffused light that I think I am satisfied. If not, it is rated to accept higher wattage bulbs so I can always up the brightness. I would have really loved if it took three-way bulbs (my favorite!), but I am so happy with the overall beautiful design, weight, and value of this lamp that I would highly recommend it despite that one limitation. An absolutely great lamp for the price! Read more
I absolutely love the look of this lamp — it’s stylish, modern, and fits perfectly with my space. It arrived partially assembled and was a breeze to put together — maybe 5 minutes total. That said, I did run into some quality issues. The first lamp I received had a noticeable lean. I contacted Brightech, and their customer service was excellent — fast, responsive, and eager to make things right. Unfortunately, the first replacement arrived damaged in transit (not their fault), and the second had a wobbly base. Again, Brightech worked with me patiently and professionally to find a resolution. Despite the rocky start, I’m genuinely happy with the lamps and really appreciate the way the company handled everything. It seems there may have been a quality control issue in the batch I received, but I’d still recommend this product — especially knowing how well Brightech stands behind it. Read more
I was actually trying to order another Brightech lamp but I saw the profile of this one and it caught my eye. The lamp comes disassembled in a small but very efficiently packed box. You even get an LED bulb. Putting it together took maybe 5-10 mins. The instructions are very simple and easy to follow. The shade comes rolled up like a poster. You unroll it and then clip it onto the rings that hold it to the yoke. As long as you aren't rushing, you won't get any awkward creases in the material. Yes, there is a seam with velcro, but I just turned that against the wall and you can't even see it. Otherwise, the shade looks great, lot's of light comes through. The wood and metal of the pole are very good quality, feel, and color to them. The metal is brushed and not shiny. The wood is also not shiny and matches very closely to the other walnut furniture I have. There is no foot switch and the transparent power cord is about 6' long - I would've liked an extra foot or two but not a major deal. Threw in a Hue bulb and now I can just tell my phone to turn on the lights. Read more
We recently purchased this lamp and another one from Brightech. My husband and I are SO IMPRESSED with the quality of these lamps!! They arrived on time and well packaged. They are incredibly easy to put together (just screw the pole together, pop in the light bulb (included, if you need one & like LED) and plug in. The base on the lamp is on the heavy side to keep it from tipping over -- very nice quality -- and the pole is a nice dark wood, with nickel accents, just as you see pictured. The lampshade is very nice quality -- heavier than any I've ever purchased and looks fantastic! I don't see why people claim that the seam is unsightly and needs to be hidden. Yes, keep it at the back of the lamp, like any other shade, but the seems is very neat and as attractive as the rest of the lamp & super easy to put together. VERY clever design & engineering here ;-) The lamp provides ample light for our living room and with a non-LED bulb, gives off warm, but bright inviting light for reading or enjoying an evening on the couch with some TV. I bought this lamp for my living room, as my other lamps were not giving me enough light. My style is MCM and this is exactly that. It was easy to assemble and is very sturdy. I was concerned about the lamp shade; you have to attach it to the rings. I thought it would be flimsy and would crease easily. I was wrong. The shade is very easy to attach to the rings and the material is very substantial. Not one crease. It could be a bit brighter but that is due to the strength of the light bulb it comes with. I used a stronger light bulb and everything was good. Other than the lightbulb I cannot find one issue with this lamp. It is strong, steady, and beautiful. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a nice MCM lamp for their space. Read more
