Since you never really know what’s coming through your kitchen sink, unless you have your water, professionally tested, it’s better to be safe than sorry. I did quite a bit of research into what filters work best to drain and filter out unwanted chemicals and parabens, etc. this one came top rated, not just on Amazon but on other sites that I saw, easy to install and replace easy to wash in case it starts to get a little dirty or have some sort of buildup on the inside after a month or two.
