This is my 3rd pitcher, pictured is my first 1995 pitcher that works and is intact, but the old plastic cover is crumbling and deteriorating, so got a new one. also, you'll see in the pic its slightly yellow, not sure this is good or not for drinking water. I won't discuss why you want a Brita, as this has been argued for decades so will just touch on the pitcher. My 2nd pitcher is alive and well and 15years old at another home. Overall, its well made. I have tried clone filters and pitchers, and overall there is hardly a price difference or did not filter well as the original, lower quality or all. so after 10 years of trying, I settled on the brand name pitcher and filters since they last a long time and are consistently made well over many decades. Pros same water volume as the 1995, 6 cups or 1.5 liters easier to pour better balance in the hand to carry slim design easier to store in fridge easy to clean safer to use plastic for drinking made in the Dominican Republic, more trustworthy its made without harmful plastics makes the usual brita good tasting water easy to assemble very light weight without water water runs thru filter quickly after a new filter is broken in with 3-4 pitcher fulls would buy again when the time comes Cons the 1995 pitcher the whole cover pops off. Denali has a smaller fill cover you can thumb open but you can also pop the whole top cover off easily the battery of the digital reminder cannot be replaced, so either get aftermarket, hack it, go without it or buy a new pitcher when battery dies. I don't use it unfiltered water at times drip off the side of the filter and does not get filtered, its worse when the filter is new and as it expands with use, it seals better. in the 1995 pitcher, the shaft hid the leaking so folks who complain about the new design leaking just never noticed; it seals only by weight of the filter, and not screwed in, its really not fully leak proof while well made, the plastic appears just a tad thinner than the 1995 pitcher, hence easier to break or crack if not protected well during shipping. I received mine intact but it had small scratches on it. Read more

I have a larger Brita pitcher that I keep in the kitchen. However, I also wanted one for upstairs that was small enough that I could refill it in the bathroom sink. This one fits the bill! Although smaller and more inexpensive, it actually works so much better than my other pitcher. My other pitcher tends to leak if you try to pour while the top portion still has water in it. This one's lid fits so securely, that you can pour without leaking while there is water in the top portion. The entire lid easily pops off to fill with water and it drains through very quickly. I'm thinking of replacing my other pitcher with this style as it works so great! Read more

Good and safe grip, good speed of filtering water. Enough for a family of 2 - 4 persons. If the volume of filtered water is not enough, I prefer to buy one or two more of the same model. The bigger volume versions of pitchers are not good, trust me (had to throw the bigger one away) This one is the best! Very happy I've found it 😊💕 Read more

The nice thing is it is smaller than the normal Brita pitcher. My 92 year old mother and father can pick up this one with ease. The regular size Brita pitcher is just too heavy. if you have elderly people that live with you...get this one!!!! They will love it. Read more

I have used a PUR water pitcher for many years, and was generally satisfied with it. After learning that the Brita pitcher has filters that last for six months, and that the Brita filters are better than the PUR filters, I decided to make a switch. After using the Brita pitcher for several weeks, I have discovered a great feature that the PUR pitcher does not have. If you have unfiltered water in the PUR upper reservoir, you cannot pour water for use without mixing the unfiltered water with the filtered water. With the Brita, the upper reservoir is completely isolated from the filtered water - the only way unfiltered water can get out is through the filter. I am definitely satisfied with my new pitcher! To get this refilled with water, it's a pain. If you wait for the pitcher to be half empty or less, it takes forever to refill. I have to fill up the cup above the filter and let it sit in the sink to empty that water. Once that's done, I have to fill up the cup again and however many times to fill the pitcher. The water takes forever to filter into the pitcher. Also, there is a big warning on the instructions included that state if you overuse the filter and don't replace promptly it can contaminate the water. The water taste is pretty good, but the pitcher is small. Read more

In NYC you can smell the chlorine in the water (or whatever they put into it), at least I can. Works great, been using it for years. I dropped the last one else they last forever. Read more
