A great product from Brita. I purchased the basic kit (came with regular filters) and it works great. Am going to try the mid-grade filters next, for extended life and mineral removal. Unit fits basic, mid-grade and best-rate cartridges. Only drawback of note: top reservoir is flat and level, making it hard for gravity to drain it fully. Will require periodic cleaning and maintenance, as any similar product. Read more

The common complaint is leaking. It was why I was afraid of buying it. It has been probably 5 months without leaking. I think the issue is when you leave it on the fridge. My friend who also leaves her own out of the fridge has had it for years without complaint. I'm enjoying it. Read more
