This is genuinely the best, most hydrating lip balm I’ve come across, and I’ve used plenty from various brands, as well as others from Burt’s. I initially purchased a bulk pack of the original Burt’s Bees lip balm, which came with two ultra-conditioning balms as a bonus. I decided to give one a try and haven’t used another lip balm since. The first thing I really love is the texture, it’s not waxy like the original. The formula is so smooth and it smells like lemon which I love. The ingredients were what impressed me the most, this stuff is loaded with wonderful butters and oils that give my lips everything they need to look and feel hydrated. The brand says “It’s intense hydration, for when you want to deep condition your lips without the waxy feel” and I think that hits the nail on the head of exactly what this lip balm is. I’ll never be without it and it’s going in everyone’s stocking every year lol. I’d also like to add that I recently repaired my lips from years of damage (shown in the review photo) caused mainly by licking my lips. While I use other products in my lip care routine to serve other purposes like exfoliation and protection, this lip balm is what I use daily for hydration and is the only product on my lips in my “after” photo. I am a devoted user of the original Burt's Bees Lip Balm. I have used it for years, and use nothing else. I thought I would give this one a try as well. I will never give up the original as my lips get very dry in the winter. But when they are not chapped or cracking, I will be using this on. It is amazing! It has no "waxy" feeling at all, it glides on, and it feels so smooth on your lips. I can also use this under my lipstick. I put it on about 10 min before I apply my lipstick. To let it absorb. Then I very slightly blot it with a tissue. My lipstick glides on so smoothly. It also prevents it from bleeding into the lines around my mouth. I am almost 60 years old, so that is a problem for me. I'm the type of person that has to have chap stick with me all the time. I put it on before bed, have several in my purse, at my desk at work, in my car, etc. This is the only brand and flavor I will buy. It doesn't feel heavy or waxy on your lips like several other brands and keeps them moist. I like the medicated one as I like the feeling. I have my husband hooked on them as well. The silver cat birds bees are the best ones. They don’t leave a waxy texture. It’s more of like a creamy texture and they protect your lips, making them soft, especially in the winter months when everything is dry and you’re usually parched. Read more
