I purchased this for my home "office" because I was tired of using a folding table that I use for cookouts. The directions for assembly are straightforward and easy to follow, and once the desk is put together, it is very sturdy. The only complaint is the box was ripped on one corner when it arrived, and part of the office was chipped on the back edge. Luckily it is on the underside of the desk and isn't noticeable at all. The desk itself is very sturdy but as others have mentioned it is packed tightly in a thin cardboard box. As a result the table legs on mine were heavily scratched. The table top also had several noticeable blemishes/bumps from the laminate being fused to an uneven surface. This is my second Bush desk after five years, but I believe the build quality has gone down. Read more
I agree with others who have said it. Bush furniture is beautiful but consistently arrives beat up and abused . I have come to expect it and it causes me to hesitate further each time when considering a purchase. I suppose it's possible that one day I will say I'm tired of it and no thanks. This particular item arrived with the rear of the black back panel sporting a nice smashed in area in the particle surface that looked like someone donkey kicked it or else slammed it into a sharp corner. It's always a quandary whether to send it back or just live with it. After all, sending back for a replacement will probably result in another damaged piece. I chose to keep it this time because of the location of the damage. At some point though it gets kind of ridiculous. This might be my last Bash (sic, no pun intended) purchase. Love the look and functionality, but tired of the QOA (quality on arrival). Read more
Was a little worried after reading some of the reviews on how this item arrived to some purchasers homes but I love bush furniture so I took a leap of faith due to this being exactly what I needed and I can say with out a doubt this desk arrived with very little damage to the outside box and the packaging inside had to have been updated because it was packed liked chinaware was inside alll the corners of the box was braced with some type of foam to prevent intrusion so if damaged while shipping and in side the parts were separated by some type of ridged foam not a scratch on any of the parts and the desk is even nicer than I expected I believe that bush must have listened to it's customers complaints I would not hesitate to order from them again. I have 2, 20 inch monitors one (49 key) keyboard, A MacBook, external hard drives (2) and a few miscellaneous items sitting on top very easy to put together looks just like the depiction in the picture.
