The sweater is definitely wool, it is chunky and looks hand knitted. I ordered a M, I am wondering if I should have ordered a S. Looking at the size chart, I don’t see a big difference between a S and M. I am not busty, if you are then I would follow the size chart and order accordingly. I was really disappointed in this sweater. I live in the UP of Michigan & sweaters are a 3 season garment. One of the buttons was too poorly attached it was almost off. The stitches are nice but the sweater is a loose weave, not really something for cold temperatures. I own other Irish sweaters but my cousins @ Aran have dropped the ball on this model. mick Read more

The quality of the workmanship/knitting was terrible. The buttonholes were not knitted as they should have been; the bottom buttonhole was only 2 threads wide!! I would never buy from this company again!!! Read more

Wonderfully thick and warm! I live in the south so most of my sweaters are pretty light but I did need a warmer sweater and I’m so glad I got this one. Great craftsmanship and this woolen sweater. It’s like wearing a hug. Read more
