They are a bit bulky, but personally, I don't have any problems swallowing it with a few gulps of water. As for the strength/dosage, each tablet has 600mg of Calcium Carbonate, and 5mcg of Vitamin D3, so it is more likely for people requiring Calcium supplements. With my wife being lactose intolerance she has to find other ways of getting enough calcium in her body. Also as we age bone density in our bodies tend to thin out and that becomes a problem when older people fall. With less bone density they end up breaking things and that's not good for anybody. Its hard to review supplements, but this one seems like a quality product, the expiration date is 05/2028 which means its not old stock being dumped. Most people can benefit from calcium and vitamin D. There are many conditions where it may even be quite important to take it. I have multiple vertebrae fused and recovering from broken bones. I take glucosamine, condroitin, and calcium/vitmin d supplements religiously and this one ticks all the right boxes for me. Seems effective in as far as one can judge that.
