This is my absolute favorite, go-to brand! I drink 2-3 cups per day. It’s not sweet, it brings well, it doesn’t smell, it doesn’t taste gritty, and it’s easy to use as a base for smoothies, lattes, hot cocoa etc. The product has a good shelf life and if not previously refrigerated, then it is shelf stable until opened. I have a migraine condition that makes me very sensitive to anything with processed soy and other things that increase the glutamate levels in food (bone broth, aged meats and cheeses, msg, nutritional yeast, hydrolized protein, yeast extract, blada blada), so to get around them, I have tried or investigated just about every dairy alternative for my coffee: hemp milk, almond milk, straight coconut milk, coconut milk creamer (why would they do that to coconuts???), and even butter. But they either have migraine triggers or change the flavor and texture of coffee in ways that I can never get used to. And then I found this product: Califia Barista Blend Oat Milk. The texture is smooth and creamy, the flavor does not overpower the coffee, and the ingredients list shows no migraine triggers. Because I like the oat creamer, I just tried the barista MUSHROOM OAT creamer from the same maker. I hated it. To make matters worse, I realized too late that the mushroom version contains nutritional yeast. So now I’m going back to the tried and true! Read more

doesn't taste amazing or anything, tastes fine but a little on the weak side compared to Oat Yeah, but this stuff does froth well and quickly (aluminum pitcher & when cold). i do like that it's not full of artificial sweeteners or gunky gunk preservatives. the lid needs work. every time i shake, it spews out. leaks all over. messiest carton i have ever dealt with. i mix with unsweetened vanilla soy milk and the two together taste really good *to me. the froth will last in the pitcher for up to 2-3 espresso pulls before needing to be re-done. am happy with this and will def purchase in the future. Don’t care for almond milk, don’t care for the aftertaste it leaves. Have tried rice milk, it’s okay, leaves an after taste too, just not as bad. Love, love this oat milk! Smooth, & no after taste! It reminds me of the milk at the bottom of the bowl after eating my whole wheat puffs - that’s the closest I can come up with to describe the taste (just not as strong). I would highly recommend this product for a milk substitute over almond or rice milk. Extremely smooth, slightly nutty flavor & NO aftertaste. I’ve been looking for a coffee creamer to substitute creamers like Coffemate that are loaded with added sugars. Don’t get me wrong, I love Coffeemate creamers, just trying to be more conscious of my sugar intake without sacrificing flavor. Read more

I was waiting for Amazon to bring back the Planet Oat milk as I really liked its taste and versatility. Instead Amazon offered a deal to try this Califia barista type oat milk. So I tried it this week and already have ordered a 6 pack on-going through Amazon's Subscribe and Save. It is a great product with minimal additives. It need not be refrigerated until opened. It is a nice complement to my own very strong coffee blend, with its own unique taste, not quite like cow's milk, but better than other plant based milk alternatives. And, it allows me to use very little dairy! Read more

So, I LOVE it! My diabetes isn't a fan, so I mix 1/2 coconut almond better than half n half AND 1/2 oatmilk batista blend (completely unsweetened..* I have the most sensitive taste buds, when it comes to sweets!* tho it does list sugars on the dietary info, they are not added sugars tho, it's just from the process) After learning my own research, & trial & error, of brands as well!) I love that it is shelf stable (tho it hasn't stayed in my pantry very long so far) I got a GREAT deal on my 1st subscription of it also! I have ALWAYS BEEN A HUGE True & Thru 30yr DAIRY (COW MILK) fan. But, I hopped on the "nut milk wagon" in late '16-'17 in hopes to help keep my nursing journey going w/my 4th, & still drank cows milk, along w/nut milk, but somewhere between weaning my 4th LO from nursing & having my 5th BF-ed LO (whom had severe reflex, so ate literally AROUND THE CLOCK) I just no longer care for the taste of cow milk at all anymore *& most BF-ing mommas have heard or tried oatmeal &/or nuts to increase your supply (it always had for me) so, I figured I give the Oatmilks a try.... & tried just about all of them, due to the "unsweetened- sweet taste".... (*did it help my milk supply?¿?probably somehow in someway, at least with CAL, 😄) I nursing till April 2020.) but, I'm all in the non dairy milk wagon, still! BUT... IMHO CALIFA FARMS has an amazing selection in stores & off Amazon & is truly my favorite brand, & I love to mix the nut & oat milks together, but they are just as great alone too! I *guess* the batista blend is supposed to be a bit thicker/creamier... I add it in my AM COFFEE & A lg chilled glass (usually mixed choices 🤭 ) at dinner, everyday. But, it doesn't seem to have anything off putting by the texture or taste... does warm in the microwave better than their better than half n half (doesn't bubble over almost immediately, & does wip & froth nicely, IF I CHOOSE to get fancy, certain mornings, lol! I recommend this brand & option. I have it scheduled for delivery every 3wks!!!😋😉👍 Read more
