I bought this as a replacement for the one that came with our camper six years ago. The original worked well until rust on the On/Off handle bracket became severe enough that it needed replacement. This new unit was identical and reasonably priced. The performance of the sway control system has always been excellent for us. We tow a 19-foot camper with a Chevy Colorado and have never experienced issues with crosswinds or sway while using this setup. We purchased this just before our camping trip in our new camper. It was only about a 2 hr drive but having driven the camper locally I found it did have considerable sway even for its size. I didn’t feel comfortable driving that distance without some form of sway control. After installing this product and traveling the 4-5hr round trip at one point having to navigate city traffic this thing was amazing. It made the camper more agile and reduced the sway but about 80-90%. It was easy to install although there were no directions for how to add the coder pins which I found quite insane. Without the picture on the front of the box one would not understand where the hell they go, thus rendering the unit useless. Aside from that well worth the cost which I found to be very reasonable. does exactly what its suppose to. I tow a 27 foot camp trailer with an overall length of 29 feet. It weighs roughly 5000lbs loaded. I was getting horrible sway before installing this unit. My hitch leveled my trailer and 1/2 ton truck perfectly but still swayed. After adding this unit, the sway is non existent. The only complaint I have is the amount of slack when installed over the hitch and trailer balls. However, it works well and I no longer have to carry extra underwear because of the trailer wobble that I used to have. The friction pads are thick and I don't feel that I would ever need to replace the unit unless it rusts. That being said, I would buy this unit again in a heartbeat. Saved my camper from rolling over on my way to Monahans. Hit a dust storm and had ordered this the week before. I watched my camper leaning as we got closer, ended up pulling over and installing it at a rest area, what a world of difference it made. The camper made it the rest of the way with no adverse vertical or horizontal movement other than what was expected. Installation was quick and easy with an impact and the right bits.
